Kaley Cuoco is looking back on having to shoot her first-ever sex scene.
In the HBO Max series " The Flight Attendant ," Cuoco stars as Cassandra, a functioning alcoholic whose life is turned upside down when she wakes up after a night of partying to find the man she spent the night with dead in their Bangkok hotel room with no recollection of what happened prior.
The project is a far cry from her role as the loveable girl-next-door character, Penny, on the sitcom " The Big Bang Theory," which ran for 12 seasons.
Speaking during The Hollywood Reporter's comedy actress roundtable, Cuoco dished on having to act out such an intimate scene for the first time.
"I had never done any sort of sex scene ever, and I had one in ‘Flight Attendant’ with Michiel [Huisman]. He’d been in ‘ Game of Thrones ,’ so he’d done all these scenes, and I just had no idea," Cuoco admitted in the interview published on Thursday. "When they called 'cut,' I’d be hovering over him like I was on a toilet.
"I’m like, ‘I’m not touching anything, I’m not looking at anything,’" she added with a laugh. "I didn’t know what to do. He was like, 'You’re acting so weird, you’re making this way weirder than it needs to be.'"
"But I was totally out of my element," the actress confessed.

Earlier this year, Cuoco opened up about how she was worried about the intense scrutiny she’d be under in taking her first role since the conclusion of the massively successful "The Big Bang Theory."
Speaking to the UK’s iNews in March , Cuoco revealed that she was determined to challenge her acting abilities in her first post-"Big Bang Theory" role, despite fears of what her fans might think of seeing her in such a different light.
"Coming off such a successful show, I knew people were going to judge whatever I did next – not look down on, but question," she explained.
Cuoco is not only the star of the drama but is also an executive producer having optioned Chris Bohjalian's best-selling novel on which the series is based in 2019.
"It was a huge risk. I believe in my heart that no one would have cast me in this part even if I’d given the audition of my life," said Cuoco, "I felt like I had to prove I could do something else."

For guys, it offers an incredible view and control over the speed and depth of penetration, says Emily Morse , creator and host of the podcast Sex with Emily who has a doctorate in human sexuality. For women, it's a chance to relinquish the reins and just enjoy the action, which includes lots of opportunity for G-spot stroking. No wonder it's one of the most Googled sex positions, according to one source.
But doggy style does have a rep as a position that doesn't offer much intimacy, which is something many women don’t find as rewarding, says Morse. (Not to mention, it can hurt if your partner goes too fast or too deep.) What’s more, “there’s no clitoral stimulation, and women need more of that in every sex act,” she adds.
Luckily there are numerous ways to enhance the intimacy and score that clitoral stroking—for your pleasure and his. Here are 5 of the best, most pleasurable doggy-style upgrades.
Lie on the bed flat on your stomach with your legs closed. Have your partner lie on top of you with his legs outside of yours as he enters you from behind. “This position is less about thrusting and more about connecting with your partner,” says Morse. Having your legs closer together offers tighter friction, which will make it more enjoyable for you. His hands are also free to drape over yours or hold your hands, and his face will be close to the back of your neck, perfect for arousing pillow talk or sexy neck kisses.

And Kaley Cuoco proved to her legions of Instagram fans that getting ready for an event is no easy task as she enlisted the help of celebrity stylist and everyone's best friend, Brad Goreski.
The 33-year-old actress was prepping for an appearance at the Much Love Animal Rescue fundraiser when she stripped down to a black thong and sat in her bathroom while hair guru Christine Symonds slid a dress over her arms.

It was all fun and games for Kaley until it was time to put on her gorgeous black MSGM gown.
Cuoco joked around with her glam team before taking off her clothes, with dewy skin and a bold blue liner swiped across her eyes created by Jamie Greenberg and a chic top knot crafted by Symonds.
'You're OK ... You're OK,' Symonds reminded Kaley as she kneeled on the floor. 'You're OK!'

Once all was said and done, she finished her look off with a pair of Attilio Giusti Leombruni shoes and a black leather Kate Spade purse.
She attended the event solo on Thursday night, leaving behind her husband of 15 months, Karl Cook.

Kaley admitted that the couple currently don't live together despite being married for 15 months and they are 'taking time with everything' as 'life is all about balance' while they build their dream home.
Much Love Animal Rescue takes in abused, neglected and homeless animals from the streets and shelters of Los Angeles and finds them loving homes.
The non-profit animal rescue group since its founding in 1999 has placed more than 3,500 animals into homes.
