Kaja Kallas Backs U.S. Operation Against Iran
Kaja Kallas says the latest developments in the Middle East are dangerous. According to her, the Iranian regime has taken thousands of lives, while its ballistic missile and nuclear programs — as well as support for terrorist groups — pose a serious threat to global security. The EU has imposed tough sanctions on Iran and supported diplomatic efforts, including on the nuclear issue.
She added that she has spoken with Israeli Foreign Minister Saar and other regional officials. The EU is working closely with Arab partners to seek diplomatic solutions. Protection of civilians and adherence to international humanitarian law remain priorities. The EU’s consular network is assisting in the evacuation of EU citizens, and non-essential EU personnel are being withdrawn from the region.
