Kaizen — Privacy Policy

Kaizen is a personal focus and study app built to work entirely on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Kaizen does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server — the app has no backend at all.

Where your data lives

Everything you create in Kaizen — goals, tasks, focus sessions, streaks, XP, and settings — is stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage. It never leaves your phone. If you delete the app, that data is gone; there is no cloud copy to recover it from, and we have no way to see it in the first place.

Notifications

Kaizen can send local notifications (focus-session reminders and study-time alerts) that are scheduled entirely on your device. Granting notification permission is optional — declining it does not limit any other part of the app. No notification data is sent to us or anyone else, because nothing leaves your device.

Third-party services

Kaizen uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking services of any kind — no crash reporting SDKs, no ad networks, no third-party embeds.

Children's privacy

Since Kaizen collects no data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect data from children either.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future version adds optional cloud sync), this document will be updated and the in-app version will reflect the same terms.
