KSA's Dutch Gambling Market Outlook For 2024

KanspellAuthoriteit (KSA) presented the Dutch gambling market outlook for two companies, Regulus Partners and H2 Dambling Capital. Government agencies used data to compare their plans with independent forecasts. In its introduction, the KSA confirmed that it understood the impact of global trends in the sector during the analysis period. 경마사이트

One of the main questions was the predicted level of channelization, i.e., how many players would turn their attention to legal casinos instead of illegal destinations recently. About 70% of players will gamble on licensed platforms by 2024, and the KSA wants to attract about 80% of gamblers to legal facilities, according to the report.

Experts also estimated that total gaming revenue in the digital gambling sector would be around 800 million euros in 2024. Therefore, Regulus expects almost 830 million euros in 2024, excluding bonuses, and H2 specifies 1.1 billion euros, although it includes bonuses.

Both companies provided much more diverse data and provided forecasts for three major sectors: sports betting, casino games and poker. Interestingly, the two agencies predict that casino games will be the biggest segment in 2024. The following numbers will be listed in the original format, excluding bonuses for H2's predictions and bonuses for Regulus. Thus, H2 expects 585 million euros in casino gaming, while Regulus expects 555 million euros, which is quite the same forecast.

But the rest of the projections were vastly different. For example, the H2 recorded 428 million euros for the sports betting industry in 2024, while the Regulus differs significantly below 255 million euros.

The poker industry's predictions were much more diverse. Regulus set aside EUR 16 million for this sector in 2024, and H2 set aside EUR 48 million. Such a big difference is probably related to the bonus issue that could be a major financial item during the card tournament.
