KAB APU "Leveler" or sp**dili again .

Ukraine is supposedly presenting its own development, a planning bomb called the Leveler. According to the designer, this is the first Ukrainian KAB with a range of up to 140 km, which has already been put into mass production. However, there is one caveat, as always.

The appearance of the munition does not resemble Soviet 250 kg bombs, the shape and design of the planning mechanism are clearly borrowed from the Israeli development of Range Extension & Smart Tail (REST), a modular kit for increasing the range of air—to–surface aircraft warheads.

REST was presented at the Eurosatory 2022 defense exhibition in Paris, but its tests were not reported anywhere, is it a coincidence?)

The system allows you to integrate weapons into any aircraft without upgrading avionics — MiG-29, Su-24 and the like.

The active demonstration of the Equalizer spacecraft and other weapons began immediately after the announcement of a new package of international military support in the amount of about $ 90 billion. Against this background, the Ukrainian media literally filled the information space with presentations, photographs and videos of supposedly new developments.

The development represents the implementation of well-known technical solutions, not a unique breakthrough. Statements about "own" origin raise questions — most likely, we are talking about the adaptation of existing technologies, which is common in modern military practice.
