Rogue One (c) LucasFilm You (c) yourself Upon arriving on Jedha, you didn't realize how armed the city would be. From everywhere you walked, you would spy Stormtroopers waddling around, scanning for any trouble. You even caught eye of the residents. Most were fumbling around at the markets, bursting out random screams and yelps about bidding for the highest product or throwing credits at the shop keepers. And aliens of all kinds mumbling such strange tongues you thought for sure you would need a translator for them. At first, Cassian had wanted to take Jyn into the city with you and K2 behind but right as you were about to object to his commands, Jyn stood up first, declaring that perhaps it was best if you and her were to go down to the city. Besides, wouldn't it be better if two people who had no clue about Jedha arrive in unlike Cassian who most likely would cause a scene? And if someone recognized him? If anything, you could always use your communicator to talk to him. Cassian immediately rejected to the idea of course, demanding that he should go down with Jyn as he knew where to go and what to say (and even so gave you a little stink eye). Regardless, he sighed and gave Jyn an item, instructing to show it to the right person as a sign of knowing who sent them. He also put a tracker on the communicator so he could know where you and Jyn were. You arrived with Jyn into the city, scanning throughout to spy for any trouble that might be brewing your way or any suspicion of where you should headed to next. You could of sworn a couple of times you almost got lost figuring out where you were going. Such as now, you had bumped into an alien, making the alien grumble as he dropped his items, blowing up a storm at you. "Sorry, sorry," you said, backing off as the alien spoke in his strange tongue, grumbling and raising his arms at you. Jyn immediately took your hand and you both ran away from the alien, going into a less crowded area. As you still began to walk around, you couldn't help but find the pain of guilt of Mon Mothma's words absorb into your mind. About how she said she wouldn't hurt Jyn's father if he just told them what they were building. But what if they kill him? What if Jyn was just a ploy all along to get him crawling out and then shoot him right in the open? You battled these thoughts all around, disturbed and bothered. Jyn happened to see this a couple of times and couldn't help but ask. "What's wrong?" "Nothing," you mumbled, shaking your head. "It's just...let's go over here and see what we find." However, it didn't hold up for long as she started to realize what it was. "It's about she told you, isn't it?" she asked. You sighed. "I just...I don't know what's going to happen," you admitted. "Say we find this...Saw Gerrera person we're trying to find...and we do and find out about your father...and if we try to find him first...I'm just so uncertain what's going to happen if we defect from them...not to mention we'll no doubt have Imperial scum at our back too." Jyn nodded, understanding your plight. "It's just..." You grumbled. "It's just...this isn't how I would picture the Alliance to be. When I heard stories about them, I'd figured they be heroic, about deeds of daring, about going the distance to help...but this..." You waved your arms out. "This wasn't what I was expecting." Jyn shrugged. "All in more not to trust them," she said. With that, she began to walk away. Feeling that you somehow had pissed her off, you kept quiet once more along your search, deciding that maybe a couple of minutes of no talking would be good. Then, optioning to take a rest, you and her sat down on a bench, overlooking the thrive of people and aliens walking about. Not wanting the silence between you two to become awkward, you burst out the first question in your head. "So Jyn...what was your father like?" (You gave yourself a mental note to slap yourself in the face for saying that). Jyn though, feeling no worries, answered. "He was...a kind man," she said. "He...did a lot for me and my mom. We had it all you could say. He loved us both dearly. Whatever I wanted, he would go and get it for me. I felt so safe whenever he was around. I felt that what he was doing...he was doing for the good of the galaxy. Until...I learned the truth about it...about him and this whole weapon thing apparently for the Empire...I just couldn't believe my whole life I thought everything would be fine...and then he left me...he left me and my mom...I was left alone to fend for myself..." She remained quiet, reflecting on the horrible memories. Wanting to sympathize with her, you huffed. "At least you got along with your parents," you said. "My...family...was all about strictness and punishment. If you didn't give a sign of respect to the Stormtroopers patrolling your homes to keep you safe, you were given a good strike. With the way they were going about the Empire...about how 'good' it was and how we should all be loyal as obedient and nothing more...I felt that something was wrong. I went into my own way to find out what it was and then...I recognized the faults of the Empire and the deals my family made in order to stay supportive. So...basically long story short...that's how you met me on Wobani you can say..." Jyn titled her head. "Oh yeah," she said. "Your family...I remember you said you often fought with your father a lot...how he told you, you would never be an Imperial general if you kept going about what you did...you know you never told me who they were actually..." You gulped, unsure if you should tell her. What if she knew the (l/n)? About how powerful and rich they were? What if she freaked out and assumed that you on some sort of secret spy mission? As much as you told her you didn't care for the Empire...who knew long before you were perhaps lying to her this whole time? You were both just acquaintances after all...or maybe you were just being paranoid. Before you could answer her question, there was a strange sense occurring in you. You got up from your bench as you felt something stir inside you. Jyn frowned. "(Y/n)?" she asked. "What is it?" You began to walk away, following the strange sense that entered in you. Ignoring Jyn's pleas of wonderment, you brushed aside pass people, not caring if you bumped into them or what they were selling. You stopped when you found the sense...a (f/c) kyber crystal. It was strangely just laying there on the ground. No one seemed to have any notion that it was there. Nobody was coming around to come claim it or check to see if they dropped it by accident. Coming up to it, you picked the crystal up and examined it up. It was a peculiar shape and seemed to be perhaps barely freshly mined. As you rolled the crystal around in your hands, you then yelped, closing your eyes as your head pounded with a sharp whistling sound. You heard people screaming, thunder rumbling, engines blaring and explosions of rocks and lands crumbling all around... "(Y/n)? Are you ok? What's wrong?" You snapped out of it when you opened your eyes to see Jyn glancing up at you, concerned. You looked down at the crystal and then put it away in your pocket. "Nothing," you said. "I just...I thought there was something here. It's nothing though." "Jyn? (Y/n)? Have you guys found anything yet?" Your communicator buzzed off, signaling Cassian. You tapped on it. "No, still searching. Maybe give us another minute or two?" On the other end, you heard Cassian scoffed. "All right," he said. "Remember...they will find you...but if you guys don't start searching around either, I'm going to go in there and do it myself..." With that, he signaled the communicator off. As the day drew on, you and Jyn didn't know how many hours or minutes passed on the search still. Yet, there was a little fun of fooling off as you recalled you once spotted Jyn glancing over at some items on display. One of the items was a nice scarf, silky with delicately crafted designs, no doubt any women couldn't resist it. "Thinking about buying it?" you teased, nudging her. Jyn felt her cheeks turn red. "Umm," she said. "It's just...a pretty scarf." You giggled. "It's ok to admit that you wanted to get it." Jyn turned to you, rolling her eyes. "Like I said, just a nice scarf," she repeated. You couldn't help start to tease her more. "A nice scarf fit perfectly around your neck to your outfit." Jyn scoffed. "Is that suppose to be a compliment?" she teased. You felt your cheeks blush, bluming bright red. "Umm," you said, not sure how to answer. "I mean umm...I'm just suggesting that...something as nice as that would..." Before you could figure out a way to avoid answering, you accidentally bumped into a Stormtrooper. "Whoa, watch where you're going sonny," the Stormtrooper snapped, shoving you aside. You glared at the trooper, feeling a bit pissed. Jyn however grabbed your arm, leading you away, sensing the tension growing between you two. "Come on," she said. "Cassian just sent a note that time's almost up. We should ask if someone knows about Gerrera..." "Hold it," the Stormtrooper said. He titled his head at you. It was like as if he knew what you were talking about...knew what you guys were planning up to... "May I see your identification cards?" You turned to Jyn, shocked. Jyn herself shrugged, unsure what to do. "Umm," you said, turning back to the Stormtrooper. "We...forgot them on the ship. If you can excuse us we will be happy to..." The Stormtrooper shook his head. It was obvious by the way you were talking...he sensed there was something you two were hiding. "All right come along," he said, grabbing Jyn's hand. He motioned for his buddy to go ahead and cuff you. Jyn immediately recoiled, attempting to fight back. "Wait," she said, pulling away. "You don't understand..." Yet, as he gripped onto her again and pushed her aside with the shook of his hand pulling her forward as if she had been some rag doll...you felt yourself sort of snapping. "Hey, you can't do that!" you growled, rushing forward. The Stormtrooper's buddy took notice of you and automatically thrust his blaster up at you, giving you a good punch to your nose. "I like to see you try that again, bud," he threatened. You could feel rage bubbling inside you, wanting to fling yourself at the Stormtrooper. Who in their right minds think they were so righteous in treating you like that? Seeing Jyn still fighting off the other Stormtrooper, preparing to whip our a baton to knock him out, you attempted throw yourself at the Stormtrooper again, not caring if you would get more in trouble. You stopped though as you heard someone shout. "Wait." You turned around, surprised to see a man coming before both of you. His eyes were blue with white cataracts, indicating no doubt he was blind. He wore dark blue robes and he had a staff, using it as his guide to walk around. He glanced up at you and the Stormtrooper. "Let him go," he commanded. "For he is with the Force as I am...it guides me as much as it does with him in knowing the ways." You frowned at him, prepared to protest. It wasn't that you wanted his help or anything but it was sort of strange how he suddenly wanted to bump into your confrontation. Then again, maybe some helped wouldn't be minded. The Stormtrooper took caution of the blind man nearing toward him. More troopers followed, seeing the confrontation evolving. For as the man walked closer to the Stormtroopers, he suddenly whipped his staff around, bonking it one by one to their body. The troopers readied to aim yet the man continued to dance around, dodging the blasts and beating them down one by one. And with one more final sweep to the last trooper, the blind man was left standing alone, triumphant You gapped, amazed at the man's agility and swiftness. You glanced to see Jyn had knocked off her trooper as well, waving the baton victoriously.  "Hold it right there!" You glanced to see an array of more Stormtroopers gathering your way, these ones looking more dangerously armed. Before they could begin to fire, they were blasted by a mysterious array of turreted lasers, taking them all down. Checking to see where it came from, you turned to see a man by some stairways, heavily armored and a giant machine gun like weapon. He seemed to be old as he had long hair with some dark gray streaks and his beard produced a few of these too. He walked down the steps towards both of you. "Umm," you said, looking to the blind man and the heavy armored one. "Thanks...for the help?" "Eh, you look like you can handle on your own," the armored guy said. "Chirrut here though...the old bafoon head...came over here and thought you needed it." "Can't you sense it in him?" Chirrut said. "He's is indeed someone who has yet to awaken what is in himself." You raised an eyebrow. "I'm sorry...I don't seem to follow correctly on your err... monk self help quotes..." The armored guy gave you a dirty look while Chirrut raised an eyebrow. "I sense it in you," he said. "The Force has called. Are you a believer?" You shook your head, baffled. "Umm...the Force? Err....I mean...isn't that what the Jedi used back then?" Chirrut smiled. "Yes! It is," he said. "But the Force does not only apply to them...it applies to all! All who embrace and walk among its path. And you...have been chosen. I can feel it." You raised an eyebrow. "I'm sorry...what?" "Come on now," the armored man said, tapping on Chirrut's shoulder. "We should go now before they come..." He glimpsed up at you. "Don't mind my friend here. He's just a fool for dabbling in some poky old religion. I tried to get him out of it..." "My friend here, Baze, is a believer in more weaponry than the Force," Chirrut said. "I tried to get him to appreciate such wisdom..." "Yeah, and I try to show you that this here is the wisdom that just saved your life," Baze protested, wielding up his gun. You snickered a bit, shaking your head at the two men's ways. You glanced at Jyn to see she had joined you, peering at them. "Do you think they might know?" she asked. "They seem...resourceful." You shrugged. "It wouldn't hurt to try." Clearing her mouth, she spoke. "Who are you men exactly?" she asked. "We are the Guardians of the Whills, protectors of the kyber crystals that have been so shamefully dug up from the Empire," Chirrut said. "We were wondering," Jyn whispered. "Perhaps you guys can help us in locating a man we need to speak with?" Baze frowned at you. "Oh yeah? What kind of man? Because if it happens to be someone that..." "I believe his name is Saw Gerrera," you stepped in. "We believe he has some information that we need to speak with as..." It was then that mysteriously out of nowhere, that loud cries screeched out. A group of strange people in masks, clothes and armor charged at you, raising their weapons, pointing threateningly. You all immediately raised your hands up, terrified. You glanced at Baze and Chirrut thinking it was a trap but they were just as confused as you and Jyn were. One by one, each one took your hands and cuffed them, putting a cloth over your head, to cover your sight. You and the others attempted to fight back but they restrained you from breaking free. The next thing you know you were moving to somewhere you didn't know. Your eyes woke up to an alien opening a door up to a cell, clutching onto you. You glanced around, puzzled at first but then you remembered you were being escorted by some strange men to who knows where. You glimpsed to see Chirrut and Baze were being forced into the cells. Wanting not the same for you, you immediately attempted to fight back. The alien squabbled, trying to get a hold onto you. After a struggle of breaking free from the alien's grip, you kicked him down, knocking a blow to his head. You reached for the keys and released yourself from the restraints.  "Hey! Hey hey!" You glanced up to see blasters pointed at you, warning of if you made another attack, no doubt they would fire. You stood still, angered that you were defeated and there was no way out. It wasn't until someone in the group of the blasters, whistled. "Leave him to be," a person said. It was a man up in front of the blasters, aiming steadily at you. "He obviously seems to be someone of worth...for someone to break out so quickly than the other two. You got a name kid?" You nodded. "Yeah, it's (y/n). (Y/n) (l...)..." You stopped, knowing that perhaps if you blew it out about your last name...well...something told you it might not be pretty. Still, you spilled it out, knowing they would poke at you for it. "(Y/n) (l/n)." The man snickered. He then withdrew his blaster. "I had a funny feeling from the way you looked...the stories I heard about you...you were one of them." He sighed. "Let the kid be. I'm sure Saw would want a word with him." He titled his hand to a chair. "Have a seat for now. We'll let you know when the big guy wants you." He then left. You turned to chair and sat down, facing the group of men in the prison. You spied Chirrut praying heavily while Baze was searching for a way out. Though in the corner of another cell, was an Imperial pilot, nervously shaking. You turned to him. "What's your story?" you asked, curious. The Imperial pilot gazed up at you. He turned away, refusing to answer. Baze glanced to see what you were looking at. "Hey," he said, recognizing the pilot. "Aren't you...him?" You frowned at Baze. "Who him?" you asked, pointing. "What about him?" "There's been word about an Imperial pilot who defected from the Empire," Baze answered. "There's word that he was heading over here, has some news about this superweapon that they're creating. All rumors though but..." He snickered over at the pilot. "Regardless if he is or not...I'd say he deserves some good blasts for that mess of Stormtroopers patrolling over Jedha..." "No! No!" the pilot insisted, startled. "I came to see Saw to deliver a message. That's it! I'm no longer associated with the Empire. I did what I had to do but now I'm stuck here!" "What's your name?" you asked. "Bodhi," the pilot replied. "And you're...(y/n)? As you said...you're a (l/n)?" You nodded, ashamed. "Yeah...they're my family." Baze frowned, confused. "What's this about a (l/n)?" "They're a powerful family," Bodhi said. "They support the Empire with anything they can. They have been known to be such strong activists and spreading such wealth among the Empire's weapons and works in order to become acknowledged for their love. In fact, last I had heard...they're the ones fundraising money to build the superweapon." Your heart stopped, shocked. "They're...building this...superweapon?" you stuttered. Bodhi nodded. "Last I heard," he said. "Galen commented on how much extra money they always had should they not have enough materials to research." You gapped, still can't believing what you just heard. Suddenly, you recognized what the next thing would come. "Hey, just because they're building that damn thing or whatever it supposedly is they're building...doesn't mean I support it!" The men in the prison (except Chirrut who kept mumbling about the Force) turned to you. "Well, who says we can't trust your word for it?" Baze questioned. "How do we not know you're some spy who's working behind our backs just so you can go..." You glared at him. "I think I wouldn't be here in the first place had
