Thirty-three-year-old Justin Jedlica has been on a mission to achieve physical perfection -- but he isn't simply devoting his efforts to exercising and eating healthily. Jedlica's quest for youth and beauty has taken him to the extreme, to a world of silicone, incisions and implants.
To date, Jedlica has undergone more than 150 plastic surgeries and has been dubbed "the Human Ken Doll." Yet the New York native tells "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" that he never set out to look like the plastic figurine.
"Ever since I was in my teens, I wanted to have plastic surgery. To me, it meant luxury and it meant wealth, and that was something I wanted in my life," he explains in the above video.
Jedlica says he got his first of five nose jobs shortly after his 18th birthday, costing him nearly all of his savings at $3,500. Afterwards, he experienced a sense of empowerment.
"I felt really euphoric," he says. "I felt important to myself for the first time."
Since then, Jedlica has gotten bicep implants, triceps implants, pectoral implants, shoulder implants and more. His husband, a successful businessman, helps pay for Jedlica's procedures, but others haven't exactly been supportive.
"I've definitely been on TV shows where we've had 'professionals' try to diagnose me as having mental illness," Jedlica says with a chuckle. "I find it funny because those professionals have never seen me outside of the studio... I mean, I do understand the basic notion of body dysmorphic disorder and OCD. [But] I think I have a very clear picture of what I look like. I'm not unhappy with the way that I look."
That said, Jedlica has no qualms about going under the knife again. "If I choose to express my creativity through my plastic surgery, it's no different than someone in fashion who deals with trends," he explains. "Standards of beauty change, ideals of beauty change. I don't understand why people think you have to be committed to the human form and that you shouldn't be able to retain control to change it."
Jedlica has even taken control of his surgeries by designing his own bicep implant, as he showcases in the above video. His future plans include designing his own line of implants.
"I want to put out a silicone implant line that would be custom, because I have a lot of people write into me and say, 'Hey, where can I get shoulders like yours?'" he says. "Piece by piece, things I'm doing can be something that other people can benefit from."
For all of the media attention he has received, Jedlica adds that he still feels misunderstood by those who assume he is narcissistic and stuck-up.
"If people come up and talk to me for five minutes, I think they'll find that those things are not true at all," Jedlica says. "I'm really interested in... possibly altering people's thoughts on what beauty is or what is beauty supposed to be. It is for personal validation, but in the same way, it's also to push other people to accept and understand and broaden the spectrum of what beauty is."
"Oprah: Where Are They Now?" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on OWN .

Plastic Surgery Justin Jedlica: The Human Ken Doll Before and After

updated on February 18, 2021 February 18, 2021 Plastic Surgery
Before and After newest secrets we update frequently
At 34, Justin Jedlica has had over 150 plastic surgery procedures done on him. Yet, according to him, he never intentionally set out to be Justin Jedlica: The Human Ken Doll , Barbie’s perpetual boyfriend. He spent his entire savings $3,500 for his first nose job when he turned 18. He told the audience of the “Oprah” show, he felt euphoric and empowered after that first plastic surgery. Jedlica has had implants for his biceps, pectoral muscles, triceps, and shoulders, among others. Unabashedly gay Jedlica is fortunate to have a husband who pays for all of his procedures but not everybody is supportive.
Many people dismiss Jedlica as suffering from BDD (body dysmorphic disorder). This is an impairing and severe medical condition, characterized by preoccupation with either a slight or imagined flaw in physical appearance. BDD typically appears at the onset of adolescence. Those who have it often refuse psychological help. They go around looking for plastic surgeons and dermatologists to fix their perceived or visible flaws. BDD symptoms can persist in an individual for years, if left untreated.
The Human Ken Doll prefers going under the knife as an expression of creativity. He goes as far as to say that he’s similar to individuals who deal with trends in the fashion industry. Because he believes that beauty standards change constantly. Jedlica believes he, and the rest of us, can always retain control. If he wants to change those standards, including changing his human form, he has “taken control” of all his surgeries. This is by designing his personal bicep implant, something he has showcased in his very own videos.
Is Jedlica just extremely narcissistic or is he mentally ill? Previously, the Human Ken Doll said he wants to go into the business of silicone implants. This is because many people write to him asking where they could get shoulders or triceps like his. Jedlica doesn’t think of this future silicone implant line as strange. According to him, he’s doing this so people can “benefit” from them.
Jedlica currently works as a consultant for plastic surgery. This job has him referring patients to cosmetic surgeons, as well as, advising them on the most ideal procedures for their particular needs. While he appreciates the media attention that he continues to receive, Jedlica still feels he is misunderstood. He is not stuck-up, nor is he crazy..
But most people think of him as the latter, mainly because his “before” photos show a good-looking boy who faintly resembles a young Keanu Reeves. Why he felt his features needed an overhaul, will forever be a mystery for those who have seen Jedlica. This is ‘before’ he decided to make plastic surgery, not only his lifestyle, but his life ambition.
According to Jedlica, people can call him the Human Ken Doll as much as they want! This is because he doesn’t feel offended at all. He looks and feels so much better now than he did before his plastic surgeries. Jedlica has said that removing his androgynous or erotic zones doesn’t appeal to him. Check out his website at justinjedlica.com where he is described as the “pioneer” of “modifiable male aesthetic.”

See What “Human Ken Doll” Justin Jedlica Looked Like Before Plastic Surgery!

Human Ken Doll Justin Jedlica has been made famous for dropping half a million dollars on nearly 500 different cosmetic procedures. After appearing on E!’s hit plastic surgery show Botched , the 36-year-old skyrocketed to fame and began to consult on other people’s surgeries.
Most recently, the human doll helped to create the world’s first ever thigh implant targeted at women who want thicker legs.
“My client travelled for the procedure from out of the country and was very physically fit, but her body-type was fairly petite for a bodybuilder and she was having a hard time bulking-up,” Justin told Daily Mail just a few weeks ago. “She was struggling to put on the mass that she would turn into muscle, which I understand as I have a high metabolism and am very lean, so I designed an specialized implant to give her massive quads. She expressed she wanted to go extremely large, the leg equivalent of taking someone from an A-cup to a D-cup.”
Before experimenting on other people, though, Justin has had tons of practice altering his own body.
“I’ve had nearly every part of my body worked on,” Justin said . “I have a reputation of being one of the most extreme plastic surgery addicts in the world and I love continuing to push the limits.”
Though Justin’s claim to fame is his metamorphosis into “human doll,” in an interview with In Style he revealed that much of his passion around plastic surgery comes from the creative outlet it offers him.
“At first, I thought the title [‘Human Ken’] was a little bit silly and kind of dumbed down what I did with plastic surgery because everything I did required a lot of time and effort and I view what I do almost as art,” he said. “I do it for the purpose of being creative and I like that I can customize myself and set myself apart as an individual. That’s what I think is cool about it—the idea of being a nonconformist, and you’re not doing what everyone else is telling you.”
