Junior Program Coordinator

Junior Program Coordinator

Digital nomads. Work from anywhere

Company: Blue Oak Consulting

The Junior Program Coordinator organizes the workflows and data streams that support our engagement with a prominent Italian manufacturing group. In this role, you will help our senior advisors track financial assumptions and maintain the structure of our technical reviews to ensure our analysis remains rigorous and orderly.
About Blue Oak Consulting
Blue Oak Consulting provides independent advisory on pricing, portfolio economics, capital allocation, and acquisition assumptions. We are not a traditional consulting firm focused on broad transformation programs or high level strategy decks. Instead, we interrogate specific commercial decisions where the financial stakes are high and the existing narrative is not sufficient. Our team looks past corporate language and P&L complexity to identify where value is leaking or capital is trapped. We work across sectors like software, manufacturing, and healthcare to test whether the assumptions behind a growth plan or an acquisition actually hold under pressure. We are a small, principal led firm where the people who do the work are the ones accountable for the results. We do not take transaction contingent fees, which allows us to be completely honest about whether the economics of a decision make sense. Our goal is to provide clarity through financial discipline and a healthy amount of skepticism. We stay through the execution phase because decisions that look sound in theory often fail when they meet real world friction.
The Role
This is a full-time, fully remote position that serves as the operational center for our project teams. You will work closely with senior principals as they challenge the investment cases and pricing models of our clients. Since we are a small firm, you will see how financial decisions are dissected from the inside, moving beyond the surface level of spreadsheets to understand the logic of the business. You will spend your time ensuring that our timelines stay on track and that the data we receive from the client is organized into a format that is ready for deep interrogation. Because we operate entirely remotely, you will need to be self-sufficient and comfortable managing your own schedule while staying in close communication with the rest of the team.
What You Will Be Doing
* Organizing and maintaining internal project documentation to track the progress of financial audits and advisory sessions.
* Coordinating the flow of documents and datasets from the client to our internal analysis team, ensuring all required information is present.
* Building and updating project schedules to reflect changing priorities and ensuring that all deadlines for the Italian manufacturing project are met.
* Performing basic data entries and data cleaning in Excel to prepare financial reports for more complex analysis.
* Setting up remote meeting environments and distributing agendas and technical summaries to all participants before senior-level reviews.
* Monitoring project expenditures and tracking the time spent on specific workstreams to assist with budget oversight.
* Assisting in the drafting of internal status reports that summarize what assumptions have been tested and what still needs to be verified.
* Verifying the accuracy of dates, references, and citations in our final advisory reports before they are sent to the client.
What You Bring
* A university degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field where you developed a foundation in logical analysis.
* A high level of comfort with Excel, including the ability to use basic formulas and organize large sets of data cleanly.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple moving parts without losing focus on the small details.
* A curious mindset that leads you to look for the reason behind a number rather than just accepting it as fact.
* Excellent written English skills for documenting meeting outcomes and technical findings.
* The ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining a high level of accountability to the team.
* A professional and direct communication style that fits with our firm's analytical approach.
* General familiarity with project management concepts such as timelines, milestones, and task dependencies.
What We Offer
* A fully remote work environment that allows you to work from a location that suits your life.
* A competitive salary for the entry-level market that reflects the importance of this role to our firm.
* Direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to learn from experienced principals who lead the work.
* Practical training in financial discipline, skepticism, and commercial decision-making.
* The chance to work on high-stakes projects with major international firms, starting with our client in the Italian manufacturing sector.
* A workplace culture that values honesty and technical accuracy over corporate posturing.
* Exposure to a variety of industries, giving you a broad view of how different businesses operate and generate value.
We value people who are not afraid to ask why a certain number is there or why an assumption is being made. Our culture is built on the idea that every piece of information must be verified and every decision must be economically sound. You will be joining a team that prioritizes accuracy and directness over flashy presentations. This is an environment where your contributions have a visible effect on the quality of the advice we provide. We believe that by providing clarity and maintaining discipline, we help our clients avoid costly mistakes and find real value in their operations.
