JHC Consulting is an independent advisory firm that serves boards and chief executives on matters of governance, strategy, and leadership. We are currently supporting a major Austrian logistics firm as it expands its operations and looks to refine its product offerings. The Junior Product Analyst role exists to support the firm's principals in assessing the internal product logic and strategic assumptions of our clients. This is an entry level position for someone who values rigorous reading and clear prose over the presentation culture common in larger consulting firms.
The Role
In this role, your primary responsibility is to analyze internal cases and product strategies. You will spend a significant amount of your time reading through dense material to help the firm identify contradictions or weak assumptions in a client narrative. You will participate in the preparation of internal research that informs our final memoranda. Because JHC Consulting does not use presentation slides or decks, your time will be spent drafting, revising, and refining text. In the context of the Austrian logistics expansion, you will examine how product data and logistics models align with long term corporate goals. This is a permanent, full time position that requires a careful approach to synthesis and a high level of accuracy in every internal draft you produce.
What You Bring
We need someone who treats clear writing as a form of clear thinking. You should have a background in an analytical field, such as economics, business, or data science, but your most important tool is your ability to organize a coherent argument on the page. Since this is an entry level role, we do not require a long history of professional work, but we do look for intellectual maturity and the ability to work independently. You should be comfortable with basic data interpretation and possess a high level of literacy. We value candidates who can follow a lead through a stack of documents and highlight the points where private corporate narratives do not match reality. Accuracy and an eye for detail are essential for the type of scrutiny we apply to every mandate.
