Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Junior Commodity Broker working on a pure commission basis. The Junior Commodity Broker will support the origination and execution of trades, including identifying opportunities, engaging with buyers and sellers, and assisting in price negotiation across assigned commodity products. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring commodity markets, analyzing price movements, and contributing to hedging and risk management discussions under the guidance of senior team members. The role also involves coordinating documentation and logistics with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely settlement of transactions. The Junior Commodity Broker is expected to build and maintain professional relationships, update CRM or internal systems, and follow compliance and operational procedures.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding or demonstrable interest in commodity markets, trading, and brokerage activities.
* Knowledge or aptitude for commodity risk management and hedging practices.
* Ability to analyze market data, pricing trends, and economic indicators relevant to commodities.
* Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
* High level of self-motivation, discipline, and comfort working in a remote, commission-based environment.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation, logistics coordination, and transaction settlement.
* Proficiency with standard office and communication tools; familiarity with trading or CRM platforms is an advantage.
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
* Prior internship or junior experience in trading, brokerage, logistics, or supply chain is beneficial but not required.
