Junior Analytics Analyst

Junior Analytics Analyst

Digital nomads. Work from anywhere

Company: Tech Pipeline

Tech Pipeline works with organizations to fix the friction and operational drag that prevents their teams from doing their best work. We are currently supporting a partner that is a leading renewable energy infrastructure provider, helping them clean up the reporting pipelines that manage their global project sites. Our goal is to ensure their data reflects reality so they can focus on their mission without being slowed down by broken internal processes.
About the role
As a Junior Analytics Analyst, you will focus on the messy middle of our client's data systems. You will not be building abstract frameworks or high level strategy decks. Instead, you will be looking at where data goes bad during the handover between site managers and the central finance team. This is a fully remote position where you will spend your time identifying why approval chains are stuck and why reporting numbers are drifting away from the source of truth. You will help us find the specific integration gaps and routing rules that cause friction in the daily work of operators.
What you will be doing
* Review daily data logs to identify where automated reports are failing to sync properly.
* Compare records between project management tools and accounting software to perform manual reconciliations.
* Identify specific errors in routing rules that prevent maintenance requests from reaching the right technician.
* Clean and organize incoming datasets from various infrastructure sites to prepare them for analysis.
* Verify that the fixes we implement stay effective through the first month of live operation.
* Update internal documentation and SOPs so the client team can maintain the system once our engagement ends.
* Assist senior analysts in tracing how specific data points move through the technical stack.
* Draft clear, straightforward summaries of findings for our weekly client updates.
What we need from you
* A logical approach to solving problems and the patience to trace an error through multiple steps.
* Introductory knowledge of SQL or a similar tool for querying and organizing data.
* Strong attention to detail, especially when working with large spreadsheets and financial records.
* The ability to write clear, plain English descriptions of technical problems.
* High reliability in a remote work setting and the ability to manage your own focus time.
* Comfort working with ground truth, meaning you prefer looking at logs over talking about theories.
* Basic familiarity with how data flows between different software applications.
Helpful background
* Previous experience in an operations or administrative role where accuracy was essential.
* Exposure to project management tools or large scale asset management systems.
* Coursework or personal projects that involved cleaning messy real world datasets.
* A basic understanding of the renewable energy sector or infrastructure management.
What the role offers
* Competitive pay that is attractive for an entry level position in the analytics market.
* A fully remote work environment that eliminates the need for any office presence or travel.
* The chance to work on high impact projects for a major infrastructure partner.
* Direct mentorship from experienced technical operators who value practical fixes.
* A workplace that avoids unnecessary meetings and prioritizes concise, written communication.
* The opportunity to build a deep understanding of how business logic translates into technical systems.
Working at Tech Pipeline
We believe in doing concrete work that actually makes a difference for the people using the systems we fix. Our communication style is direct and grounded in reality. We do not use corporate jargon or spend our days in endless brainstorming sessions. We rely on clear documentation and weekly updates to keep everyone aligned. Because we are a fully remote company, we place a high value on people who can think for themselves and take pride in the accuracy of their work. We stay only as long as it takes to solve the problem and set our clients up for success, and we expect everyone on the team to be focused on that final handover.
