Role Description The Junior AI Chat & Voice Engineer is a full-time remote role focused on supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of AI-driven chat and voice solutions. In this role, you will help configure and integrate voice and telephony systems, assist in building and testing IVR workflows, and troubleshoot issues related to VoIP and networking. You will collaborate with senior engineers to optimize system performance, document technical processes, and contribute to continuous improvements in reliability and user experience. The position involves regular communication with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployments and support for client projects.
Qualifications
* Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues in chat, voice, and telephony systems.
* Experience or familiarity with IVR platforms and workflows for voice-based customer interactions.
* Knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and protocols for call handling and routing.
* Understanding of telephony concepts, including call flows, PBX systems, and integration with AI services.
* Basic networking skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting.
* Foundational understanding of AI or conversational technologies (chatbots, voice assistants) is beneficial.
* Ability to learn new tools and frameworks quickly and work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail in documentation and testing.
* Relevant coursework or experience in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field is a plus.
