Josh Duggar will be under some no-nonsense rules during his lengthy stay at the Federal Correctional Institution in Seagoville, Texas.
The former “19 Kids and Counting” star – who was sentenced to 12 years in prison in May for receiving and possessing child porn – is expected to look after his cell.
According to TMZ, Duggar’s bed needs to be made “military-style” no later than 7:30 a.m on weekdays and daily chores include sweeping and mopping floors, emptying the trash and cleaning the walls.
“While he’s serving his sentence in a low-security prison, the strict conduct rules also state inmates must stop all loud talking, card, domino and game playing at 9:15 p.m.,” the outlet reports.
“Prisoners must return to their rooms by 11 p.m. and all noise, including TVs, must be off by midnight.”
As previously reported, Duggar, 34, was accused of downloading child pornography files onto a computer at his now-closed used car dealership over the course of three days in May 2019.
He was found guilty in December 2021 of receiving and possessing child sex abuse photos and videos following a six-day trial in his home state of Arkansas. The jury deliberated for seven hours.
TMZ adds that in order for Duggar to keep busy during the day amid his prison stay, he can partake in jobs like painting, landscape detailing, welding and food service.
The former reality star is barred from having unsupervised contact with minors, including his own seven kids — daughter Mackynzie, 12, son Michael, 11, son Marcus, 9, daughter Meredith, 6, son Mason, 4, daughter Maryella, 2, and daughter Madyson, 8 months — whom he shares with his wife, Anna Duggar, 33.
Once out of prison, he will also be subject to strict probation rules which include watching porn and spending time with his children.
He will reportedly be barred from accessing or viewing any kind of porn, including adult porn, and won’t be allowed to use the internet without first getting permission from a probation officer.
Additionally, Josh will only be allowed to see his children if his wife or parents – Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar – or another court-approved adult is present.
Prior to his sentencing, the former used-car salesman was active in conservative politics and worked on the Republican presidential primary campaign of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.

"We appreciate the jury's lengthy deliberations, we respect the jury's verdict, and we intend to appeal," said Justin Gelfand, Duggar's attorney, in a statement to CNN.
Duggar was arrested on April 29 and arraigned on April 30 on federal charges of receipt and possession of child pornography , according to the US Attorney's Office in the Western District of Arkansas. He allegedly downloaded material that depicted the sexual abuse of children under the age of 12, the US attorney's office said in a statement. He has pleaded not guilty to the two charges.
Homeland Security Special Agent Gerald Faulkner testified on the investigation into Duggar.
Faulkner detailed to the court that pornography containing young children was found on a desktop computer at Duggar's business in Springdale, Arkansas.
One of the files, according to Faulkner, depicted children ranging from 18 months to 12 years of age. Faulkner said in his 11 years of being an investigator those images are "in the top five of the worst I have ever had to examine."
Duggar is the oldest son of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, whose large family and devout conservative Christian upbringing were the subject of the TLC show "19 Kids and Counting." The show was canceled in 2015 in the wake of allegations that Josh Duggar molested girls when he was a teenager. He was never charged in relation to those allegations.
That same year, Duggar admitted that he had used Ashley Madison , a website designed to help married people cheat on their spouses, after his name was released when the website was hacked.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar posted a statement on their family website about the "very serious accusations" their son is facing.
"We appreciate your continued prayers for our family at this time. The accusations brought against Joshua today are very serious. It is our prayer that the truth, no matter what it is, will come to light, and that this will all be resolved in a timely manner. We love Josh and Anna and continue to pray for their family," they said.

A federal jury in Arkansas has convicted former reality TV star Josh Duggar of downloading and possessing child pornography
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Former reality TV star Josh Duggar was immediately taken into custody Thursday after a federal jury convicted him of downloading and possessing child pornography.
The jury in Fayetteville, about 140 miles (225 kilometers) northwest of Little Rock, found the 33-year-old Duggar guilty on one count each of receiving and possessing child pornography. He faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 for each count when he’s sentenced.
"Regardless of wealth, social status, or fame, our office will continue to seek out all individuals who seek to abuse children and victimize them through the downloading, possession, and sharing of child pornography,” said U.S. Attorney Clay Fowlkes of the western district of Arkansas, which prosecuted the case.
U.S. District Judge Timothy Brooks said sentencing will happen in about four months, Fayetteville TV station KNWA reported.
“We respect the jury's verdict and we look forward to continuing this fight on appeal,” said Justin Gelfand, one of Duggar's defense attorneys.
Duggar and his large Arkansas family starred on TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting” until the network canceled the show in 2015 following revelations that he had molested four of his sisters and a babysitter. Authorities began investigating the abuse in 2006 after receiving a tip from a family friend but concluded that the statute of limitations on any possible charges had expired.
Duggar’s parents said he had confessed to the fondling and apologized. At the time, Duggar apologized publicly for unspecified behavior and resigned as a lobbyist for the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian group.
Duggar later apologized for a pornography addiction and for cheating on his wife, calling himself “the biggest hypocrite ever.”
The judge in the child porn case ruled that jurors could hear testimony about how in 2003, Duggar admitted to molesting four girls. A family friend testified that Duggar told her about the abuse.
Federal authorities said they began investigating after a Little Rock police detective found child porn files were being shared by a computer traced to Duggar. A federal agent testified in May that images depicting the sexual abuse of children, including toddlers, were downloaded in 2019 onto a computer at a car dealership Duggar owned.
Duggar’s attorney argued that someone else downloaded or uploaded the images onto Duggar’s computer. But the jury wasn’t swayed.
Duggar’s father Jim Bob Duggar, who also starred on the reality show, is running in a special election for a vacant state Senate seat i n northwestern Arkansas, and the primary election in that race is Tuesday. He previously served in the Arkansas House.

Help for men struggling with pornography and sexually addictive behaviors.
Josh Radnor. Or, as many of us know him, Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother .
Although we may love the child-like, and at times childish, idiosyncratic professor, there is more to Josh Radnor than our beloved and gullible Ted Mosby.
Josh Radnor is an articulate and thoughtful guy. He spends time with ideas and thoughts, thinking about the kind of human being he wants to be, he searches ancient wisdom, and he intentionally practices friendship. You know, all the beautiful things Christians are called to pursue and cherish.
So with that description given about Josh Radnor, it’s not surprising that he has spent large amounts of time considering intimacy, with its many broken forms — of which pornography is one.
Here are the thoughts of Josh Radnor, the real Ted Mosby.
Josh Radnor has never fallen into porn addiction, yet despite that he still observed how irregular porn use has impacted him. He states it this way, “I just started to notice how when I watched porn the quality of my life and mood was really affected. It depleted my energy and focus… led me to over-sexualize women in the real world. It clouded my thinking and deadened my imagination.”
I find myself loving and hating that language, porn “deadened my imagination”. It’s striking that Josh was able to take note how even marginal porn use altered the quality of his life.
Porn does deplete energy and focus — when we’re giving our passion to empty pixels then all we’re doing is throwing our best selves into a black, nameless pit. We’re exposing our most intimate and vulnerable selves to an Iron Maiden (you know, those torture boxes with spikes inside).
Porn is an Iron Maiden: a false woman who opens herself up to embrace us, yet once we go into her, we find ourselves locked in chains of darkness with only spikes of nails and pain to hold us. We give our passions to porn, and we never get another’s passion in return. The life-force we spill is really our own blood as we let porn bleed our passions and relationships dry.
Josh Radnor gives similar language to the entrapment of porn when he says: “I should also say that I understand porn’s charms… I know its pleasures but they’re cheap, brutal pleasures that fade fast and leave you worse off than before. Porn ultimately hurts the heart and confuses the mind. It gives nothing back. All it does is take. I played a character with a morphine addiction and in my research I came across a description of opiates as “the Judas drug,” in that it will “kiss you then betray you.” This is also true for porn.”
More often than not, we think that sex is the highest good and the greatest pleasure. So much of our human identity is wrapped up in sexual desire. We quite literally change our biology to match our desires.
Josh Radnor speaks directly into this identity shift: “I feel like it took me a long time—too long—to learn that sexual gratification is not the highest human aspiration or achievement and that the relentless, single-minded pursuit of it is hollow and depression-inducing. Porn peddles selfishness, domination, and oppression—all terrible qualities to bring to a relationship. It strips women of personality, agency, and dimensionality reducing them to objects who exist simply for men’s sexual pleasure. And can be discarded when they’re through—after all, there are always more women a click away.”
With porn, intimacy becomes a mouse click, and sexual gratification becomes the highest human aspiration and achievement — even while depression and suicide continue to climb to all-time historical highs.
It’s a hard thing, when a secularist is able to speak with such insight into a better form of humanity. Harder still when Christians have a ageless vision of hope that all things will be made new, have access to a gentleness that neuters shame of its ability to reproduce, and a source of affection that offers an eternal caress.
Josh Radnor shares some of his own human longings when he says: “I never closed the window on a porn site and thought “Time well spent!” Something about it never felt right. There seemed to be this other, better person longing to get out and express himself and with porn in my life—even in a minor way—that guy didn’t stand a chance.”
Josh Radnor is a remarkable man and he speaks so directly into the issue plaguing so many of us. As he notes, at the end of the day, the question does come down to what kind of human you long to be. Living in the light isn’t easy but it is good, and living in the light is the only way to become the kind of person you long to be.
Here I just leave you with the Master’s words:
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
