I can’t think of any reason why masturbation during a common jock itch infection would lead to anything adverse.
Jock itch is remarkably common. You can avoid it by making sure your groin is completely free of soap or anything else that’s not natural, after you shower or bathe, and then drying the entire groin area completely.
Using some kind of body powder (non-medicated if you’re not infected) can also help avoid it, but the main thing is rinsing the groin area completely and drying it thoroughly after it’s been wet.
It’s not clear whether you’re using the foot powder as a masturbation aid or as a medication, so it’s a little difficult to give a clear answer.
It’s also not clear whether the foot powder you’re using is medicated as an anti-fungal; hopefully it is; if not, get some that’s anti-fungal or use an anti-fungal cream.
Hopefully you’re not masturbating while using the powder. I would recommend cleaning the area before masturbation, then going ahead with it (and enjoy it!! take your time!), then cleaning the area thoroughly, rinsing thoroughly, and drying thoroughly, after which you should re-apply any medication (powder or cream).
I disagree with another Quoran who replied that trimming or shaving your pubic hair would help — doing so is entirely neutral with regard to jock itch. Shaving can irritate the skin and possibly increase the possibility of jock itch, but other than that, how you keep your pubic hair is hardly important. At the risk of repetition: proper rinsing, drying, and using preventative powder or medication will carry the day.

This will absorb the moisture and reduce the itching. Itching may increase momentarily and become worse after applying the powder but after 10-15 minutes, it feels normal and good. Take a second bath in the evening, and apply a anti-fungal cream (Mycospor cream) over the area before going to bed.
One thing to be kept in mind is to dry the area completely after every bath. Powder is used to reduce the residual moisture. Use a hair dryer or a dry towel to dry the area. Towel can sometimes cause irritation. Pat dry the area, do not rub harshly. After drying area may feel very dry, but with time it'll become normal.
During bath, groins has to be washed thoroughly using a good quality soap. I use 'dove liquid soap'. It suits me.
If you develop such jock itches frequently, then obviously there is something wrong in your routine. One main reason is being obese/overweight. The other main reason can be bad hygiene. Constipation also aids jock itch. Hence maintain a diet as to avoid constipation. Also, don't eat too much sugar or starch because yeast/fungi feeds on sugar and starch. And avoiding sugar/starch will also lead to reduced weight.
P.S. one new finding by me. Shaving the groin hairs help a great great deal. That includes scrotum skin, groin, penis base, everywhere.
Jock itch is not hereditary. Nor is it limited to just jocks. Jock itch is a fungus caused by dampness. When my son was in scouts we went on a week long camp out. The boys got chances to go swimming. Most of the boys dried off properly and had no issues. One or two of the boys did not dry properly and because it was so humid, it took longer for their shorts to dry and they did not change into dry shorts after swimming. They developed jock itch.
Prevention is basically washing properly and drying fully before getting dressed. Now, that may not completely prevent it, but that is the best way.
