we are seeking a detail-oriented and competent Accountant and Admin Officer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate must have strong practical knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations, financial recording, and accounting systems.

This role focuses on ensuring accurate financial documentation, proper transaction recording, and tax compliance in line with current Ethiopian laws.

- Work Location : 22 Golagol, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

- Employment Type : Full-Time

- Salary : Negotiable based on experience and qualification

Key Responsibilities

- Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system

- Verify, allocate, and post transactions into the general ledger

- Ensure proper classification of expenses, revenues, and tax-related entries

- Reconcile bank statements, cash accounts, and supplier/customer balances

- Prepare financial reports including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow reports

- Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial summaries

- Prepare and support tax declarations and ensure compliance with current Ethiopian tax laws

- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation

- Support internal and external audit processes

- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records

- Assist in improving accounting procedures and internal controls

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

- Minimum 2 years of proven accounting experience

- Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting principles

-Updated knowledge of Ethiopian tax systems and reporting requirements

- Practical experience in tax compliance and reporting

- Proficiency in Peachtree (Sage 50), QuickBooks, Odoo, or similar accounting software

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills

- Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital accounting systems

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
