Hello and thank you for reading my Mommy Jobs Online Review.
Whether you’re a mommy, a daddy (or anybody really), this work at home opportunity could very well be for you.
I am one of those people who loves working from home, so opportunities like this excite me. As more and more people join the gig economy it's great to see the growing list of possibilities.
There are lots of reasons you'd want an online job – flexibility, independence, no longer wasting time on things like commuting to and from work. If you’re like me, you probably hate traffic.
If you’re a mommy or a daddy, you may want to spend more time with your kids. I say "may" want to spend more time with your kids, lol. Let's be honest, a little "you-time" is nice too
You could have other reasons, of course. Maybe you just want a friendlier work environment than an office where you don’t even like the people. It especially hurts when you hate your boss!
Anyway, let’s get down to business and see what Mommy Jobs Online is all about.
Here are the things I’ll talk about:
Disclaimer:
Please note, I am not a member or an affiliate for Mommy Jobs Online. This review has been researched with information and/or testimonials that are available online in the public domain. Mommy Jobs Online (also called MJOL) was established around 2003-2004, its headquarters are located at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.
Although I can’t find any information about its founders/creators, their LinkedIn profile reveals their many employees (who also have LinkedIn Profiles).
Technically, they can be classified as a staffing and recruiting agency. They connect workers and employers with one another and screen everyone’s background and legitimacy for the benefit of all.
Based on my research, I can say Mommy Jobs Online is legit. They have legitimate information and legitimate jobs – so no, I don’t see any evidence they’re a scam or trying to scam people.
They have a real address with real contact details (a phone number and Skype ID) and also have a small online/social media presence.
I’m not really sure if I should consider it a red flag, though, because their social media presence is small, which is a little strange for something that’s been around for more than 15 years. Even their official website was only registered in 2012.
Mommy Jobs Online has a Facebook page which was created in September 2017 – so it’s just a few years old at the time of this writing. I also didn’t find an Instagram account, though they do have Twitter and LinkedIn.
Their official YouTube channel is rarely used as well, with only 13 subscribers and 5 videos (all created in September 2017).
I don’t know… the Internet was still pretty young when Mommy Jobs Online first started, and it wasn't as popular as it is today.
Maybe they’re just not into social media marketing and there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, some might say promoting jobs on social media is a little spammy. After all, social media is often where you run into most online scams and biz opps like MLM's.
Despite what some may perceive as inconsistencies and suspicious details though, I still see Mommy Jobs Online as a legitimate source for work at home opportunities. The question is though... will it work for you?
Unfortunately, Mommy Jobs Online is NOT like most job boards. There is a significant hurdle to joining, which is the cost.
I'll discuss that further below, but this is unlike most job boards who charge employers to post jobs, NOT potential employees who are searching for them.
I mean, it's the employers who have the money, right?
On the other hand, if you're the looking for work... chances are, your money is tight.
So it's an odd business model in my opinion to ask people who are unemployed for money. That doesn't make Mommy Jobs Online a scam, but it could be a reason they haven't had the growth that many other job boards have had.
If your current financial situation makes joining Mommy Jobs Online difficult, you can make a little extra money online with online survey sites like surveyjunkie.com and swagbucks.com.
To be clear, these won't make you rich, nor do they pay a job-like income, but they're an easy way to get started online and make a few extra bucks in your spare time.
They can also be a stepping stone to something more serious down the road, like an online business.
As a work-at-home parent, long-term opportunities with the potential to spend more time with your family may be what you're looking for.
With all the scams out there though, knowing how and where to get started is what you need in order to get what you want.
To learn how I did it, I'm going to give you a free step by step beginner's guide to making money online and you can get it by clicking HERE.
If you’re going to join Mommy Jobs Online, these are the steps you'll need to follow:
1. It goes without saying... but step on is to click on the Join Now button on their website.
2. Choose from one of their Remote Job Bank packages. Note that each category costs $85, but you also have the option of paying $210 to access all categories.

3. Sign up and fill in all the needed requirements to complete the process.
4. Wait for them to email you your job link (it usually takes less than 24 hours).
5. Send them an email with your updated resume or CV so that they can verify your new membership portfolio.
6. Once accepted (most pass the verification process on step #5), you can start browsing for available jobs and start applying to them.
7. Wait for the company’s response.
8. The hiring process (and pay) will depend on the employer/company.
Aside from the option of applying for the jobs listed in MJOL, you can also directly apply to them and work for them. For this, you’ll need to apply for their Internal Agent position and pay a one-time fee of $85.
I actually like this option because the fee includes 1 Remote Job Bank package. Therefore, you can work for Mommy Jobs Online and also apply for jobs on their job list, which gives you more options to earn money from their platform.
There’s a wide variety of jobs you can apply to when you become a member of Mommy Jobs Online. Their official website has this list:
Online jobs are usually available to everyone and I really didn’t see any specific information on Mommy Jobs Online about this. However, they did say their most successful members are based in the US and Canada.
As mentioned earlier, I'm not a fan of the this business model (where they charge you to access potential job opportunities).
However, if you’re interested in joining Mommy Jobs Online, you can either go for their $85 plan, or $210 plan. These are both one-time fees. But with the $210 package, you get to access all job categories instead of just one (the $85 package only includes 1 Remote Job Bank category).
Unfortunately, Mommy Jobs Online is not giving any money-back guarantee, so don’t expect to be refunded (for any reason) at all.
It says right there on their site they don’t give refunds once they give you access to their job list – and that starts on the very first second that you get your job link. This is another policy I don't like, but it's an unfortunate consequence of their business model.
If they provided refunds, they'd probably get a lot of people who join, but only copy down the job postings they're interested in and then ask for a refund.
That's fair. But on your end, you don't really know what you're paying for either. There's no guarantee any of the jobs posted will be for you, or how many job postings there will be.
Therefore, you should consider the risks and what you’re getting (or not getting) when you join their site and pay the membership/joining fee.

If there is a positive here, it's that their fees are one-time only.

Mommy Jobs Online Strategies to Earn
As mentioned earlier, most job boards charge businesses (employers) to post jobs, not employees to search for them.
But... it looks like MJOL is making money from both ends.
It seems they’re earning through the following strategies:
1. Workers (you) looking for jobs through their site will pay their membership fee of $85 or $210.
2. Companies post their ads to the site and get charged $295 for 45 days.

3. Mommy Jobs Online is also posting ads at free job sites and then leading interested workers back to their site (to apply).
Again, I’m just talking about their business model and there's nothing particularly wrong with it. I mean, they are up front about the cost and they can run their business any way they like. You of course have the option of not joining if you don't like they way they run their business.
Other ways you can make some money from home (without paying to join) are with online survey sites.
Market research companies like Survey Junkie are a simple way to get paid for your opinion. Swag Bucks is another site that pays for doing small tasks online like visiting websites and searching the web.
Of course, these are NOT "full-time income" sites, but if you've never made money online before, they can be a good place to start.
For something more significant, an online business may be what you're looking for.
With young ones to look after, or medical issues that make regular work difficult, a sustainable income from home is what you want. Knowing how (and where) to get started is what you need in order to get what you want.

Mommy Jobs Online Reviews and Complaints
As expected, I found mixed reviews on Mommy Jobs Online (this is often the case with most companies).
The positive reviews I found are mostly from people who are content and happy working for them. Yes, I found people with part time and full time jobs at MJOL who have been with the company for more than a year. This is a good sign as people don’t often stay that long at jobs that they hate.
Below are some Mommy Jobs Online BBB Reviews.
As you can see, there are both positive and negative reviews.
I also found some reviews from Glassdoor.com and unfortunately, their overall rating is not great (see below).
As for the bad reviews, these are mostly about the following:
I also found some Mommy Jobs Online complaints from BBB (see below)...
For the issue on low pay, that's certainly a legitimate complaint, But you also don't have to accept jobs with pay you’re not happy with.
I found salary reviews at Glassdoor that implies the lowest pay on Mommy Jobs Online is around $10.
As for employers not responding, I think that's understandable – and it shouldn’t discourage you from applying again and again. People are busy, employers are busy, and the one who handles job applications can also be busy.
That's not an excuse for any company of course, but as a worker, it’s your job to be persistent with your applications.
When it comes to having outdated jobs in their listings… this is not good. Hopefully Mommy Jobs Online can do something about this.
In spite of all the negative reviews on MJOL (and there’s A LOT), I really didn’t see anything about not being paid. And that’s why I don’t think they’re a scam.
Most of the complaints I found were about not being refunded their money… but that’s another story.

What I Like About Mommy Jobs Online
Lots of jobs with different categories.

Membership is for life – If you can find continuous jobs from their platform, the fee can potentially pay for itself in the long run.

Time-saver – The available jobs are found in one place.

Both companies and workers are screened - For the protection and interest of both.
Not free to join – A lot of job sites and freelancing sites are free to join.

Steep joining fee - $210 (or $85 per category) can be hard to afford especially when you’re looking for a job because you have no money.

Getting a job is not guaranteed – Not being able to get a job from the Mommy Jobs Online platform means losing money.

The name – I think some people (those who are not mommies) might feel awkward working for Mommy Jobs Online even though there may be remote job opportunities for them too.
OK, so we’ve established that Mommy Jobs Online is legit… but, is it worth it?
It might be, but there are no guarantees. If you have money to spare (and willing to lose), you may consider joining MJOL.
Joining a paid site can have its advantages over free sites (which can get saturated quickly because they’re free). Provided the job postings are exclusive to Mommy Jobs Online, you will have less competition.
But... that's ONLY if those jobs opportunities are exclusive.
Another advantage is having a screening process in place can minimize the presence of scammers from both ends (employers and workers).
Your success in landing an online job will depend on several factors such as your qualifications, your competitions, the hiring company’s needs, and the job itself. If Mommy Jobs Online was free for workers like most job boards, we wouldn't need to weigh the risks and rewards, but it's not free.
So, it's important be realistic with your expectations before spending your money.
It is possible that you'll find the right work at home job for you. And I get why you'd like it – there’s no commuting to and from work and hey, who doesn't want to work in their pajamas. If you’re a mommy or a daddy, you can also spend more time with your family.
And if you’re a pet owner like me, you can have more time with your cats and dogs (or watch them fight all day lol).
I'll stop at making a specific recommendation though, because I don't know you'll find what you're looking for at Mommy Jobs Online. Only you can decide if it's worth risking your hard earned money.
The good news is that there are other ways you can make money online.
If you're looking for something long-term, an online business might what you want.
With all the scams and schemes out there though, knowing how and where to get started the right way is what you need in order to get what you want.
Now, I'm going to give you a free step by step beginner's guide to making money online and you can get it by clicking HERE.
If you're looking for something short-term though, you can make some extra spending money with online survey and get-paid-to sites.
Market research companies like Survey Junkie will pay you for your opinion and Swag Bucks offers rewards for doing simple tasks online.
You can also find potential work-at-home jobs and side hustles here.
