Job Overview

The Product manager will be responsible for handling our company’s esteemed product and will be overseeing and executing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. Responsibilities include establishing effective plans and strategies, coordinating the proper execution of strategies, ensuring the timely completion of product deliverables, preparing progress reports, and similar activities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Developing business strategies and operating plans for the product and ensuring their efficient and successful execution
  • Drive the execution of all processes in the product life cycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, pricing, positioning, requirements, roadmap development, and product launch.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
  • Work on constant follow-up after product launches, including product testing, quality assurance, customer feedback, and progress measures.
  • Evaluate promotional plans and marketing strategies to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy, that the message is effectively conveyed, and that the product is selling.
  • Submitting product deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to set standards and are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful and quality implementation.
  • Identifying and developing new opportunities with partners and stakeholders, evaluating current competitor offerings, and seeking opportunities for differentiation.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding product issues and decisions on services.
  • Developing and conducting evaluations to assess product strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend methods and strategies for the overall growth, improvement, and success of the product.
  • Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarising relevant information.
  • Able to translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services

 Required Qualifications and Experience

  • MS/BS degree in Business administration, management, or any related fields
  • Proven work experience in product management or related positions
  • Business mindset and proven understanding of business process
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Documentation, researching, analytical, problem-solving, and management skills.
  • Able to multitask and perform with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management, organizational, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both English and Amharic
