Rodd Keen Awesome. Great tone too. I’ve been trying to steal some of these sort of open string pull off licks, including those really bizarre out of tune sounding minor-2nd-ringing-against-an-open -string licks from Greg Koch videos. It’s a totally different vocabulary. I’m still not the biggest country/roots music fan, but i can’t deny killer playing in any genre.

People I’ll be live this Saturday at the Princeton Pub! I’m excited to kick this year off playing original music (and definitely some Merle and other treats) on a Saturday night (which I don’t often do for economic reasons) and to be doing it right out my door at the neighbourhood pub with some of my closest and longest-running musician pals Georges CoulKeys, Matt Reid and Scott Kirkpatrick. Ballads and rockers!

Beautiful little tune that closes her new album Golden Hour. Just a piano and vocal that provides a nice contrast to the big shiny production of the rest of the record. I thought it might work well for voice and guitar.
