this is not an easy post to write. i have always made an effort to keep the details of my closest personal relationships very private. at this point, i’m getting so many questions and hearing so many rumors, it’s time that i say that after 16 years, Brad and i are no longer together. we haven’t been for some time. this was not my choice. i was blindsided by a series of events one right after another that devastated me. i’d love to say the split is amicable, but that is not the case. yes, we were in an open relationship. no, it wasn’t the industry that was the problem. i have lost so much in a year. between this, my home, the death of someone very close to me, not to mention a fucking global pandemic, i am experiencing pain and loss of an unimaginable magnitude. every time i am still, it all overwhelms me. i wonder if people will ever be ok again. i wonder if we ever were. this is the part of the post where i want to be inspirational and strong and envision the silver lining, but i just can’t. i will say that somehow i am...ok. i am still here. i am surviving and healing and working and creating. (most days, anyway) and very soon, i’ll be back to shooting professionally when it feels safer. i’m grateful to certain people who have held space for my heart and held my hand through the worst of this, most times virtually. thank you to everyone who has shown me patience, empathy, and compassion. i am also grateful i have so many amazing fans. i truly love and appreciate you. thank you for being patient, good things are coming. always check on someone outside your circle. ️

i am a hurricane of emotion. i feel relief. a tinge of joy. not because everything is wonderful...but because it could have been much worse. this feels like the sweetest reprieve. (it also feels like dating a narcissist for so long that afterward we’ll push our trauma down and eagerly devour any crumbs of decency & compassion. or so i’ve heard. but i guess we’ll see) there is much work to be done. let’s pause just for a moment & then dive back in. ️

reflecting. like most everyone i know, 2020 was devastating to me. with every month came more loss & despair. in the midst of the chaos, i also saw humans coming together to help one another in ways that simultaneously tore at the last shreds of my heart and kept me going, kept me somewhat hopeful. i have no goals, no resolutions, no expectations for this year, and my only wish is that it’s better than the last. thank you for following me, supporting me, and uplifting me. here’s to a better 2021. 🖤 image courtesy of the phenomenal @fleshlight crew, taken a year ago before everything changed.

today is the International Day to End Violence Against S*x Workers. we are submitted to acts of physical violence on a daily basis, with our Black & Trans family members being at the greatest risk. we are mentally and emotionally abused by a system that tells us s*x sells when it comes to *building* a platform like IG, but now that the work is done, we face censorship and deletion. we watch as mainstream media portrays s*x workers, p stars, str*ppers, sugar bbs, etc as they see fit to fit to further THEIR narrative or plot line for movies, “rescue” documentaries, and TV shows while the actual SW humans are losing custody of their kids, losing their bank accounts, facing housing discrimination, battling medical care & mental health care disparities & more. today i ask you to take a moment and think. google “decriminalization of s*x work” - speak up for us. look closely at legislation like SESTA/FOSTA and challenge the notion that those laws will end traff*cking. they DON’T. they only end up harming us, ESPECIALLY harming the already vulnerable. see if there is a SW org in your area. try @swop_usa or support your favorites directly. it’s almost 2021, and i can’t type the phrase “s*x work is work” without fear of censorship or deletion.
