Jeny helped us purchase a new place and sell our old one. She is understanding and supportive, which is invaluable in the crazy San Francisco market. She made the weekly open house circuit feel more like a meetup with a friend than the chore it was becoming after a few months. Jeny also « got» us. Our requirements weren’t exactly standard, but she didn’t question them or assure us we didn’t really want what we thought we did, like some agents might. Instead she focused on the characteristics of a good match and worked with us to refine that based on her knowledge of the neighborhood. Her collaborative style meant sometimes she led, but she was also willing to follow when my husband discovered possibilities before she did. And when I began to despair about the seeming futility of making yet another offer on a place we probably wouldn’t get anyway, she reminded me why this one really might be our « dream» house, which it turned out to be. Partnering with Jeny, who served as a knowledgable, impartial judge of properties, an expert advisor on both the buying and selling process, and a trusted friend, truly made the stressful prospect of making major investment and life decisions bearable.
Jenny is absolutely amazing! I cannot tell you how much I have learned from her in my buying process. Jenny has taught me how to assess a property and figure hie much my bank accountant can stretch in the long run. I love that she is completely HONEST ! Jenny is a rare gem in the realty world. I’ve worked with Jeny on a variety of legal matters where she either represented my client in a real estate sale or purchase. Jeny is bright, optimistic, a clear communicator and has an excellent bedside manner. She understands people, but better yet, she understands her business. It’s a great combination for someone like me who regularly refers clients to a real estate agent.
When I was in the market for a home, Jeny was exactly what I wanted in a real estate agent. Responsive, organized, and attentive to the client’s needs, she gave me the tools to find what I was looking for and got me the information when I couldn’t find it myself. She never wasted my time, and when it came time to make an offer, she was incredibly fast and offered great advice. I’ve also watched Jeny market properties, and I’ve attended events she created as part of a campaign to market a property. I’m always impressed by her imagination, her energy, and her dedication to the client.

Jeny Smith helped me purchase my first home in SF and now my second. On the first go around, it was a sellers market and we looked for several months putting in multiple bids. She was so patient through the whole process, very professional but most importantly, it is her positive attitude about her job and life in general. She understands the SF Market and is great at explaining everything you need to know. I got the home of my dreams and loved it for the past 6 years. Of course when it came to buy my second home, I went back to Jeny. Once again, we found a fantastic home! The process was a bit tricky and Jeny worked seamlessly through all the issues, providing us with a sense of calm that everything would be taken care of. I highly recommend Jeny to ALL buyers!
This is my first review of anything on Unilocal,and I figured it was fitting to do my first review for the person that helped us find our place in The City. Jeny was everything we could have expected from a buyers’ agent. We are first-time home buyers, and she was incredibly patient and thorough in explaining all those things that most of her customers probably know already. We ended up finding a perfect place in Cole Valley and actually found the process of finding a home relatively painless. The best thing that I can say about Jeny is that she helped us make a successful bid that was under the asking price. This literally cost her some decent amount of money, but she was very skilled in finding out what the lowest reasonable price we could pay was. She didn’t have to do this because it is likely that wouldn’t have known any better if she insisted that we had to pay full price. For that we are extremely appreciative. In addition to helping us bid, she was always on top of the game when it came to making sure the sellers did their paperwork, answering our calls and emails, calling the proper contractors/assessors/inspectors, etc. Again, we wouldn’t have known what we were missing if she didn’t help us, so the fact that she was so proactive on everything was very helpful. If you get Jeny to help you buy a house, you will actually like the experience. From what I have heard, this isn’t always the case.
