Jennifer Lopez has some big news to share. Well, some more big news. A week after her surprise Las Vegas wedding to Ben Affleck , 49, on July 16, the newlywed and birthday girl (she turns 53 today, July 24) is expanding her business empire with the launch of JLo Body by JLo Beauty, and she's celebrating with a campaign featuring a photo of her in the nude, as well as a shot focused on one of her most famous assets .
"We already have some amazing products targeting tightening and firming for the face, so a product for the body that addressed those same issues was a natural next step for us," Lopez tells PEOPLE of the line's debut product: JLo Body by JLo Beauty Firm + Flaunt Targeted Booty Balm, $65, in an interview one day before she became Mrs. Affleck . "It was also the body part that our consumers wanted a targeted treatment for, and they couldn't find it on the market."
Lopez says this product is something she's been thinking about her "whole life," having grown up watching her mother's struggle with cellulite and feeling frustrated by the lack of solutions. "I remember her wishing that there was some magic formula that was just going to make it disappear," she says. "And the truth is, we know that doesn't exist."
But what does exist is the JLo Beauty team of scientists and chemists who were able to create a product that delivers noticeable results, she says. "Working with scientists, we have found that it really does improve the appearance of the skin," she says of the formula which contains pink pepperslim to fade the look of stretch marks, guarana seed extract to smooth, caffeine to tighten, peptides to boost collagen production and powerful hydrators like squalene, shea butter and hyaluronic acid. "We're not just taking a random cream and slapping my name on it," she says. "It works."
Lopez says the Booty Balm can give you a more toned-looking derriere (you can also use it on your arms, waist and thighs). She hopes that her foray into body products will help make taking care of your skin from the neck down an essential part of your daily beauty and wellness routine.
"A lot of people invest in skincare for their face, but they don't invest in self-care and skincare for their body," she says. "I don't necessarily mean spending money, but instead taking time to cleanse, moisturize, use serums and masks. I want to normalize taking care of yourself. It's not a selfish thing. It's a nourishing thing. If you can't take care of yourself, you certainly cannot take care of anybody else."
According to Lopez, self-care leads to confidence. "I feel most confident when I'm getting my sleep, practicing my affirmations and doing my skincare, fitness and eating routines. When I'm out of rhythm, I'm not myself." She says it's comparable to prepping for a performance. "The more rehearsal I get, the more consistent I'm in rehearsal, the more confident I am when I get on stage."
Whether that confidence is on display during the halftime show at the Super Bowl or while walking the Versace runway in a version of the dress (an experience she says was "a really confident body beauty moment"), Lopez continues to wow the world with her ageless beauty.
"'Beauty has no expiration date' was always my personal mantra because I'm in a business where youth is glorified and people try to write, especially women, off at a certain time," she says. "It's like, 'Oh, you're done no more movies for you. We don't want your music anymore.' Growing up, I looked up to people like Diana Ross and Cher and Tina Turner, and they were in their 50s and they were beautiful and almost coming into their own at that time."
She would also like to get rid of a certain phrase. "I believe you can look and feel amazing and sexy at any age. I really dislike the phrase, 'You look good for 40, or you look good for 30, you look good for 50.' How about you just 'you look good?'
Someone who thinks she looks good then and now is Affleck. "He is like, 'I like you when you have nothing on. No hair on, no makeup on, just you in your own skin," she says.
"He really appreciates that. And that makes me feel really confident and beautiful. Someone can see the essence of who you are and just the skin that you're in and that I take care of that and that he appreciates that. That makes me feel really beautiful too."
Between her new husband and her latest beauty venture, it's no surprise the 53-year-old is leaning into this birthday: "I am the age I am, but I feel amazing and happier than ever. I feel like I'm just at my halftime right now and just getting started."

Jennifer Lopez always looks sexy no matter what she does but her latest campaign for JLo Beauty may just be her sexiest to date. The 53-year-old stripped down completely naked in the photos, showing off her incredible figure and it comes at the perfect time as it is Ben Affleck’s 50th birthday on August 15.
The campaign is for the new JLo Beauty Firm + Flaunt Targeted Booty Balm that helps firm the skin’s appearance and in the photo, JLo’s skin looks firmer than firm. In the picture, Jennifer was completely naked with her arms resting against a stool. One leg was bent while the other was straight out behind her and her rockhard abs and the sides of her breasts were on display.
As for her glam , JLo had her long, honey-highlighted brown hair down in loose waves while parted in the middle and her skin was glowing and bronzed. She had barely any makeup on except for some eyeshadow and a glossy nude lip.
In another photo from the shoot, JLo looked flawless lying on her side with a big smile on her face. In the photo, she was completely topless and only wore a tiny, high-rise white thong.
JLo posted a video from the campaign with the caption, “We give all this care and attention to the skin on our face, but we sometimes neglect the body. It was important to me to create a skincare routine for the body to address its specific and unique needs, and we started with the booty!”

JENNIFER Lopez stripped totally naked for a racy Instagram video that teased new music.
The powerhouse singer, 51, wowed fans as she posed nude to the soundtrack of what sounds like a new song dubbed In The Morning.
Jennifer wore minimal makeup and styled her hair in wet waves in the series of snaps captured by photographers Mert Alas.
The mom-of-two captioned the post with a series of hashtags including #InTheMorning, #MorningFace, #TurkeyEgg and #NewMusic.
As well as new music, the star was promoting her new makeup line, JLo Beauty, which drops on January 1.
The Hustlers actress - who is engaged to former baseball ace , Alex Rodriguez - has been no stranger to showing some skin in recent weeks.
The Let's Get Loud singer stunned in the mesh number as she performed her two collaborations with Colombian singer Maluma, "Pa Ti" and "Lonely."
However, critics accused JLo of copying Beyonce's outfit from the Grammys in 2014, as Bey had worn a similar sheer bodysuit.
After watching a clip from her 12-year-old twins, Emme and Max, she said: "2020 was no joke, right? I mean before 2020, we were obsessing about winning this award, getting nominated for that award.
"We were caught up on who sold the most records or who had the biggest box office opening."
Wiping away tears, she added: “But this year was the great leveler.
"It showed us what mattered, what didn’t, and for me, reinforced what matters most: people. All of us."
The 51-year-old also cried "tears of joy" after Joe Biden became the President-elect.
She said in a clip on her Instagram: “I hope that we can all come together and love each other and appreciate each other. It’s a new day.
“They’re saying it’s time to heal deep wounds and come together. We are the United States of America, the greatest country on this planet."
“History is being made today for all little girls who got loud across the world,” she added as a reference to running mate and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris .

Jennifer Lopez is a lot of things. As one of the harbingers of the multi-hyphenate superstar, she's always done it all — and she's done it all while baring a lot of skin. No matter what she's doing, whether it's dancing, singing, acting, judging, hosting, designing, or just being J.Lo, she'll often do it wearing the most-naked naked dress possible and looking completely nonplused the entire time. In our new cover story , the dynamic diva is wearing a Valentino creation that shows off just about every one of those famous curves, but it's just the latest dress in a long line of naked dresses. Here are the ones that made the biggest headlines.
The latest naked dress is actually Valentino Haute Couture cape. It's certainly a statement-making option, but there's something familiar about the color. For die-hard J.Lo fans, it's reminiscent of her attention-grabbing Versace dress, which is often credited with the creation of Google Image search and vaulting her onto the A List.
Speaking of that dress: in 2000, Lopez walked the Grammy red carpet in this Versace gown, which seems tame in comparison to some of her more recent options.
In 2015, Lopez arrived at the Billboard Music Awards in a Charbel Zoe gown that was nothing more than a sheer body stocking and strategically placed crystals. It made for a showstopping look, especially since everyone wanted to know exactly where there was flesh and what was a nude underpinning.
Another Versace moment. Lopez wore a sheer gown to the Met Gala when she attended as Donatella's guest. While many thought there was a huge cutout (aka a hole) in her dress, it was actually just part of the intricate design. She didn't accessorize, since Donatella Versace is really all you need when you're at an event, but she revealed to us that Kim Kardashian West used to wear a bracelet that read: "What would JLo do?" In this case, J.Lo would wear another naked dress.
When J.Lo finds a designer that can make gravity-defying gowns that show just the right amount of skin, she sticks to them. In 2014, she arrived at the MTV Video Music Awards in a silver Charbel Zoe gown that had crisscrossing straps that covered exactly what they needed to. Everything, from her pumps to her clutch, were matching and crystal-encrusted.
At last year's Latin Billboard Awards, Lopez took her skin-baring in a different direction. A goth-tinged Julien Macdonald gown was intricate, involved, and very, very revealing. While it had long sleeves and grazed the red carpet, it was really just a feat of fashion engineering, with panels that covered the essentials and left nothing to the imagination. Every curve and contour was on full display and we wouldn't have it any other way.
In 2015, J.Lo celebrated her birthday in what some sources called " the J.Lo-iest dress " of all time. Designer Bao Tranchi created the look, which has sheer panels, contoured cutouts and piping details. The signature J.Lo swagger? That's not something you can buy or design — it's all Lopez all the time.
