Jem was born the second of three children in her family – one brother is a year older, and her younger brother is five years her junior. The names of the members of her family are unknown, however, it’s known that her father is of Czechoslovakian origin.

It’s also known that Jem’s mother is a fitness fan, and her daughter’s main inspiration. Jem has talked about her parents in an interview : ‘I’m going to buy my mum her dream car and I’m going to make sure that my parents are looked after by me personally for the rest of their lives.’

Jem’s family moved from Darwin to Perth, a bigger and more vibrant city, when she was two years old. Even if Perth isn’t Wolfie’s hometown, she says: ‘I love Perth and I’m not going to leave Perth, I don’t see myself anywhere else’.

There’s no information about Jem’s early education, but she started practicing basketball when she was nine years old, and excelled at it. She played the sport at a competitive level in the “Western Australian Basketball League as an adult, but suffered a knee injury that required surgery and a long time in rehab, so she stopped playing the sport competitively, and nowadays only casually practices it.

After her high school matriculation, Jem started her chef practice at “Feral”.

As she worked 70 hours a week there, she rapidly excelled at the job. When she finished her practice, she joined “Taylor’s Café”, however, Jem soon discovered that the life of a professional chef wasn’t fit for her. Despite the situation that led Jem to leave the job, she has said that the restaurant owner Caroline Taylor is one of her biggest inspirations: ‘She pushed me and encouraged me to start my own business, making raw, healthy vegan treats’.

Searching for more opportunities to grow as a professional, in 2013 Jem started posting pictures on Instagram of her healthy recipes: ‘It went crazy — so many local people, cafes and even gyms were ordering cakes and my raw, protein bliss balls’.

Due to the approval Jem received thanks to her recipes, she opened her own vegan restaurant named “Good Eats” in Perth, which offered vegan and healthy menus. The restaurant shut down in 2018 though.

At the same time that Jem started sharing her recipes on Instagram, she also began sharing her gym routines and training online, gaining a large number of followers on the social media platform. At the time she had already retired from professional basketball, and thought that her workout posts were a good way to keep herself physically active: ‘I started posting a lot of workout videos on Instagram, not only to motivate myself to get better and work out more often, but hopefully to inspire others to do the same’.

As she steadily gained more followers, several sport brands contacted her to promote their products, but Jem wanted to stand out from other influencers, and opted to approach the situation in her own way: ‘I made it very, very clear to almost all the brands I work with from the beginning that, ‘I don’t want you to send me boxes and boxes of supplements or a s**tload of leggings, I want to be paid’.’

Jem’s motivation to create unique content is what sets her apart from others. Her main fan base consists on straight young males and fitness’ fans, but as she started including her love for basketball in her posts, she has attracted players of various sports too.

As her videos started going viral, she was contacted by Atlantic Records to promote their artists’ songs: ‘Let’s say Atlantic Records has Cardi B’s new song to push, they’ll say, ‘Jem, we want you to put this on your next video’, then when Cardi’s team has approved it, I hit ‘post’’.

Perceiving that her fitness content was getting mixed-up with her normal content, Jem decided in 2016 to open a secondary Instagram account, on which to share her work as a fitness trainer. On this account she also promotes her eBbooks and recipes, as well as her workout routines.

She is still active on her main account and constantly shares content on it.

However, she has tried to maintain a different image in this one, keeping herself away from sharing workout content and instead focuses on sharing photos of her everyday life, her work as a model and brands’ promotions. She’s also recently started her own brand named “shopwolfgang”, which showcases sporty clothes designed by her.

In August 2018 Jem Wolfie decided to become a content creator on OnlyFans – on this subscription media site, creators offer their exclusive services and content to their subscribers, who are denominated ‘fans’. Jem declared: ‘I wanted to bring more exclusive content to my fans and have them pay for it because I believed my content was of value’.

The web site’s founder, Tim Stokely, has talked about Wolfie’s success on the site: ‘Jem currently has the highest number of fans, with around 10,000 paying $15 per month to view her content’. The audience she has gathered on this site has led her to obtain more economic benefits than on Instagram: ‘Because the content is exclusive compared to that on Instagram, Jem has earned over $2 million since joining OnlyFans in August’, Stokely said in 2019.

Even if Jem’s content on OnlyFans is exclusive and aimed at a mature audience, she has been careful to maintain a limit and doesn’t share pictures of herself completely naked. About this Jem has declared: ‘People complain and say ‘Where’s the nudity’, but where are you going to go from there — you’ll be in full-blown porn before you know it’.

As Jem doesn’t share her personal life on social media, there’s no information about her romantic relationships or any past partners. It’s said that sports’ players and other high profile men have tried to pursue a relationship with her, however, Wolfie is not very interested in the money a famous man can provide: ‘Unless they want to come here and settle down and have a humble life in little old Perth, no, I’m not interested’.

As of early 2020, Jem Wolfie’s net worth is estimated at over $2 million, as a result of the subscriptions’ earnings for the services she offers on OnlyFans, her work as an Instagram content creator, from her own apparel brand, and her active career as a fitness trainer.

Jem Wolfie’s physical appearance is one of the factors that has attracted millions of people to follow her on social media. She’s described as a beautiful woman of white ethnicity, and long blonde hair. She’s 5ft 7ins (1.70m) tall and weighs around135lbs (61kgs). Her hourglass-shaped fit figure is the physical feature that stands out the most.

Jem’s curvy figure has also gathered the attention of internet trolls: ‘So many people think my body is fake, I get people saying that every day’. However, she has declared that her appearance is natural, and she hasn’t undergone plastic surgery: ‘I’ve never altered the way that I look. other than colouring my hair’.

She’s an advocate for natural bodies, stating that there are ways to obtain an hourglass figure without surgery.
