A promoter of Jeju Dream Tower Casino Resort in Jeju, a Korean resort, said that two round-trip tickets to Jeju via Tokyo's Narita Airport will be available this quarter for Japanese VIP players recruited by Gokit and travel agencies.

Lotte Tourism Development confirmed to GGRA that the first set of tourists will arrive at Jeju International Airport on Nov. 4 and return to Japan on Nov. 6, and the second set will arrive on Dec. 30 and return to Japan on Jan. 3.

Japan is Jeju's second largest source market for tourists, according to the Jeju Tourism Organization, a local government agency of the semi-autonomous province.

Lotte Tourism Development announced last week that South Korea's T'way Airlines will operate the charter, which can carry up to 189 passengers per flight.

In response to phone inquiries from GGRA, the Jeju Dream Tower operator said, "We will recruit chartered tourists through junkets as well as Japanese travel agencies, and all passengers will stay at the Jeju Dream Tower Grand Hyatt Jeju Hotel."

Lotte Tourism Development reported that Jeju Dream Tower Casino's total game sales (GGR) in the second quarter was 15.3 billion won ($10.7 million), down about 17.3% from 18.5 billion won in the previous quarter.

On October 19, the Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that it will indefinitely extend the visa-free entry system for passport holders issued by Japan, Macau, and Taiwan, respectively. The system has already been extended once, and was scheduled to run until October 31.

In addition, Jeju Airport will provide daily service for T'way Air to and from Kansai International Airport, which operates in Osaka, Japan, from November 11.

Jeju's air hub currently operates international flights to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, Thailand, Maktan-Sebu International Airport in Cebu, Philippines, Changi Airport in Singapore, and Xi'an Shenyang International Airport in China.

Jeju authorities approved the resumption of international air services to the island from May 1, with the first air service operating on June 2.
