原以为是扁桃体发炎，怎料吃完抗生素后仍高烧不退，策安辅警在递送隔离令后确诊感染冠病，不仅入院治疗12天，还时刻担心自己将病传染给妻儿。
他至今回忆仍心有余悸，坦言“如果能从我的人生中抹去这12天，我会这么做”。
这名37岁策安保安机构（Certis）辅警是我国第44起冠病病例，2月6日至18日期间在邱德拔医院接受治疗。他今早匿名接受媒体访问，叙述了自己与病毒搏斗的经历。
他在出现症状前曾负责递送隔离令给两名武汉人，但由于他在执行任务时必须做足严格的防范措施，包括身穿个人防护衣，他因此从未担心或想过自己会感染冠病。实际上，他至今仍无法确定自己是如何染病的。

“我有惯性的扁桃体发炎，每年会发作三四次。我那时以为是旧疾复发，就到诊所看诊，想说服用了抗生素就会好转。但过了三四天后，高烧仍然不退，我才发觉不对劲，因此在星期四（2月6日）到医院求医。”
医生当时让他留院观察，星期六早上为他进行冠病检测，并在隔天下午确诊。他说：“当我被告知检测结果呈阳性时，觉得难以置信，不知道该如何反应。我那时最担心的是妻儿，万一他们也被感染了怎么办，尤其是两个年幼的孩子。”
夫妻俩育有七岁和五岁的孩子。所幸的是，他的妻儿最终都未感染冠病，隔离期间也有亲戚和策安同事帮忙照顾他们的日常需求。
但入院治疗的日子仍不好受，他形容，发病前五天，他的体温如同溜溜球（yoyo）一般起起伏伏，时而维持在37摄氏度，时而又飚高到39摄氏度。他也感到身体虚弱和嗜睡，没有胃口，并因为药物副作用而腹泻。
“我因此呼吁所有人在病毒阻断措施期间，尽可能待在家里。说实话，那12天的住院经历，如果能从我的人生中抹去，我会这么做。”
