Room tip: We opted for the discounted "construction-view room" with a hopes of an upgrade. We didn't get one, however the room was really nice so we weren't that bothered. Be aware though, that you DO hear the construction, so if you are a light-sleeper you will want to avoid the North rooms.

I just returned back from this Resort last night. It was our seventh time there and thanks to the Hotel Staff we had an absolute amazing time again. We are big fans of Jasmine A. who goes above and beyond to take care of us, she is one of the reasons we travel to Aruba and because of her, I consider this Resort "my second home". We love you Jasmine!!
My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary this month at the Marriott Stellaris. We had an amazing time in a great room with a gorgeous viewof the ocean/pool. Our housekeeper Yudaned must have seen our anniversary cards because on the second night web received a beautiful card and congratulatory sign above our bed - even more that I don't want to give away for future guests' surprise! The hotel is beautiful with a great beach, lots of free lounge chairs, and fabulous food. Snorkeling is very close and beyond compare - great location for a Caribbean vacation!
Staff at the front desk while checking in were absolutely the best. We found everything to be up the expected Marriott standards. You can't go wrong here.
The Marriott Aruba Resort was beautiful. A friend and I went on a girls-trip to get some sun and relaxation so we stayed in the hotel portion. To give proximity, this building is the furthest north of the 3 Marriott buildings, making it the farthest building North on the high-rise strip (until the new hotel next door opens up). The hotel was nicer than expected - contemporary, but not stuffy. The rooms were spacious & well appointed with comfortable beds and a double sink vanity in the bathroom. We had a North-facing room with little-to-no view aside from the construction (we knew this when we booked it although were hoping for an upgrade). We did hear a bit of the construction, which was dissapointing, but it wasn't overly loud. As I alluded to at the start of the review, the one major draw back from my point of view is that is was the farthest hotel North, so we had to walk to 15-20 for pretty much everything (bars, restaurants, shopping). We did not opt for the all-inclusive option since we are not big drinkers. We found the food pricey, I guess to be expected, but could be thrifty when needed by eating around the mall and splitting items (generous portions) We found most of the tourists were either Couples or small families - not many singles or girls/boys trips.
My husband and I made our second trip back to the Marriott Aruba Resort and Stellaris Casino in late September/Early October (our first stay, we were just teenagers vacationing with my parents, now we went to celebrate our first wedding anniversary!). We had a wonderful time back in 2006 and couldn't wait to return! We were in for such a treat on our return trip! The whole whole has been renovated and it is just beautiful! The rooms are large and comfortable. We stayed on the construction side, but there was still a view of the ocean and we did not have any trouble with noise. You cannot beat the location as it is at the end of the line of the high rise hotels and I think has the best beach. It is also at the less windy side of the island. You cannot beach Aruba's beaches and food. We ate at the on site Ruth Chris' and WOW, one of the best meals I've ever had! The highlight of our trip though, had to be on one of our first nights there, we went to the gift shop to buy some drinks, and the cashier asked us what the occasion was. We told her it was our first wedding anniversary, she congratulated us and we went back to our room. A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door, and it was the woman from the gift shop with a gift for us and the most beautiful card I have ever received. I had tears in my eyes. It was so beautiful of her to think of us! We so appreciated it. Only downside: Back in 2006, the happy hour at the pool bar was 2 drinks for $5. Now, it's 2 drinks for $14!!! Not so much of a happy hour if you ask me! We will be back!!
The hotel is large and beautiful. It is located at the end of the Highrise Hotels. Interior design and exterior landscapes (pool area & beach area) well laid out. We stayed in Room 365 carpeted floors Garden View and our friends stayed in room 370 wood floors Ocean view, their room had alittle more space than ours. However, our garden view/pool view by far was much better and prettier than there ocean view (bloocked by palms trees- not a direct sight to ocean. They liked our room better for $100.00 less. Beds were comfortable, medium firm. Bathroom was nice. Only thing with our room 365, it is right next to where the maid staff's service elevator and in the morning, My ife said she can here them taking. It didn' bother me at all. Another issue was that the Television reception in all rooms is pretty crappy, picture was statically and fuzzy and dark most of the time. Besides that, hotel is great. We were worried about the Noise from the construction whcih was located on our side of hotel area, I didnt hear a thing. We stayed from 10/14 - 10/19. Was told that Marriott has the largest casino, I guess? Didnt seem too large but I cannot compare them to Las Vegas. Didn't try any of the restaurants located on property. The beach was beautiful and we didnt have to wake up early to reserve the sun blocking things forgot what you call them. All in all, a very good hotel to stay at. Aircondition was nice a quite and powerful.
