Japon Iseme
Ise is located on the northern half of Shima Peninsula in far eastern Mie Prefecture. The northern part of the city is flat land and faces Ise Bay on the Pacific Ocean. In the south, the land rises to form hills and mountains with an elevation of 100 to 500 meters. Most of the city is within the geographic limits of Ise-Shima National Park.
Ise City (伊勢) is located on the Shima Peninsula in Mie Prefecture. The city is home to the Ise Shrines (Ise Jingu), Japan's most sacred Shinto shrines. The Ise Shrines consist of two major shrines that stand several kilometers apart from each other, the Inner Shrine (Naiku) and the Outer Shrine (Geku), and over a hundred smaller shrines spread across the region.

Ise-Shima Peninsula is located at the entrance of Ise Bay, in the east of Mie Prefecture and to the south of Nagoya City in Japan. The cradle of Shinto and a pilgrimage destination, the area is also a nature reserve in the Ise-Shima National Park. Landscapes are characterized by forests covering medium-size mountains, surrounded by an impressive indented and rocky coastline.
Ise-Shima National Park encompasses an expanse of ria coastline with numerous inlets and an archipelago; it also has a heavily forested inland area. The park's maritime heritage is a crucial facet of its identity, and many of these traditions thrive today.
