I think the music teacher Miss Tr***** worked as a model at the Detroit Auto show when she wasn't teaching music. Okay, maybe not, but she had that look. It was a toss-up between her and MaryAnn in my youth. But all the dads were hot on the theatre teacher, Miss Fireball (her real name was pronounced almost exactly like that). Miss Tr was probably too young for the WWII vets like my dad.

God, with all the attractive women I had for teachers who wore minis, it's a wonder I learned anything at all. I did fulfill one fantasy of dating one of those teachers, albeit 20 years later. Another female teacher from my high school I spoke with about 20 years later asked me in response to something I said "You mean you didn't have a crush on Claudia Torano?" I said that was a given, but she was intimidating, with her imperious manner. She laughed and said "imperious" was the word the other teachers used to describe her as well.

I was a little too young for the miniskirt craze, but in my freshman year of high school in the late '70s, when we did gymnastics and tumbling in P.E., we had a student assistant who was a senior that year.
