Japan Cock
The Kanamara Festival (かなまら祭り) is held on the first Sunday in April every year at the Kanayama Shrine in Kawasaki, Japan. The shrine is just a three-minute walk from Kawasaki-Daishi Station on the Keikyu-Daishi Line.
The festival centers around penises, which appear everywhere, as candy, on hats, and on clothing. Phallic-shaped objects or anything which has to do with sex are sold all around the shrine.
In recent years, the festival has gained popularity among foreign residents in Japan, who flock to the festival in great numbers to see the penis-shaped objects. Don’t be surprised if half of the people you see are foreign. The staff are very friendly and can speak basic English.
This fellow greets visitors as they enter the shrine.
He’s a literal dick-head. As I posed for a picture with him, he whispered into my ear. “You’re cute. I love your freckles. Can I take you out to dinner?”
As the beer and the chu-hi started to flow, things got a little wild at the festival.
Despite the blatant sexual objects and the hilarity of it all, the festival has a much deeper meaning than just large penises being waved around with the cheery blooms in the background. Kanamara Shrine has long been a place for prostitutes to go pray for protection against sexually transmitted diseases and prosperity in business. In addition, people visit the shrine to pray for easy childbirth, marriage, and matrimonial harmony.
Legend has it that a demon hid in the vagina of a young woman. On her wedding nights, both of her husbands had their penises bitten off, in a fashion reminiscent of a scene from Teeth . Determined to ensure that her third marriage was a charm, she sought the services of a blacksmith who fashioned an iron penis, which broke the demon’s teeth. The iron phallus is enshrined here.
The festival now serves as a way to raise awareness and funds for AIDs. All the proceeds from the sales as the festival go toward HIV research or other charitable causes such as the reconstruction for the 2011 earthquake.
The most popular objects sold at the festival are the large penis and vagina-shaped lollipops, which visitors suck and slurp on as they walk around. The crowds around the lollipop stands are thick, and the sweets usually sell out by mid-afternoon.
The highlight of the festival is the parade of portable shrines called mikoshi (神輿), which contain large phalluses. As the mikoshi head through the shrine gates, they bob up and down in a rhythmic movement. “The way they move is interesting,” remarked one visitor standing next to me.
The large, pink penis was pulled by transvestite women.
Here a Shinto priest prays and bows to one of the iron penises enshrined in the mikoshi . Many visitors pay their respects at the shrine.
In addition to penis-shaped objects everywhere, there is an abundance of little children.
All in all, the Kanamara Festival is an event where people show their love for the penis. Although Japan may blur out the genital parts in pornography, this country has an open attitude when it comes to sex.
There used to be many more penis shrines until the Meiji government had most removed. They wanted to be respectable to the West and saw the shrines as a problem.
However they hide here and there. For example if you go to Hanazono Jinja in Shinjuku, just net to the bars in Golden Gai in Kabukicho and face the shrine from the street entrance you will see a small Inari shrine to the rtight of the pathway. Go through the tori and when you reach the Inanri shrine look up and you will see a large wooden penis spanning the path. This Inari shrine is often visited by couples.
Tymour, I believe they are. It’s a fertility festival (though rather “weird” by Western standards of decorum and behavior). Japanese would probably ask about Americans: “Are those people thinking (when they shoot each other with guns every day, and can’t agree on reasonable laws on firearms)?” I guess “weirdness” is in the eye of the beholder. After factoring in everything, I think I actually prefer “weird Japan” to “weird U.S.A.”.
A festival celebrating the phallus is a good idea, but men need to show it respect every day; one way is by using a first class penis health crème that can deliver amino acids and nutrients directly to the organ, helping to maintain its health.
Seeing these images and reading these given sentences i am feeling that penis once upon a time was a great god of creation in the world. most of the countries of the world worshiping to penis till now in different wa in different cultures and creats.

The Pinocchio Action Game Is A Love Letter To FromSoftware, Not A Bloodborne Clone
This has to be one of the most unfortunate uses of the English language on Japanese television. Ever.
Morning show Miburi TV is a children's dance program hosted by choreographer Sasuga Minami, who teaches new moves to children and wears a peculiar outfit with some very choice lingo. "Miburi" (身振り) means "gesture" in Japanese. The words on her outfit mean much more.
The show itself is incredibly innocuous and looks to be a good program for kids. But, as noted by Twitter users @RobertSpeta and @JustinNorrie , Minami's outfit reads, "I Love Cock," "Pussy," and "Fuck." Those words...aren't so good for kids.
Game and Save Great news for PC gamers out there looking to save money and add more games to your backlog which you’ll eventually get to. Humble Bundle has kicked off its Summer Sale in which you can save up to 90% on games.
While the word "cock" might slip under the radar (same might be true for "pussy"), the English word "Fuck" is famous in Japan and has a Japanese equivalent ファック or "fakku."
Her outfit, which can be clearly seen throughout the show, does not say she loves "cook."
Most baffling of all is that this doesn't look to be an outfit you can buy off the rack, but rather, it seems to have been created for the show. A costume that the show's host has worn several times since Miburi TV aired late last month.
Someone, it seems, intentionally wrote this on the costume. Odder still that the Japanese equivalent of these words would never ever be allowed on television, let alone kiddy's programming.
Maybe the costume maker didn't know, but geez, how unfortunate!
(Note: the children's faces and names have been blurred to protect their identities.)

While we carry huge idols into the sea, Japan worships giant penises at this festival. This year’s edition of Kanamara Matsuri just got over, and the pictures are wild.
Kanamara Matsuri isn’t your average festival. This festival of penises is celebrated in Japan every year, on the first Sunday of April. The latest edition was held on the 3rd of April.

The festival celebrates the death of a sharp-toothed demon who hid inside a woman’s vagina and cut the penises off two men on their wedding nights. Legend has it that the woman asked for help from a blacksmith, who in turn made an iron penis to break the demon’s teeth. This is completely normal in Japan. So is all that weird anime. So are those dick lollipops in the photos from this year’s edition.
Anyways, the iron penis became a shrine, and followers included sex workers who prayed for good business and protection from STDs, and now it stands for the celebration of safe sex and relationships.
They’re radishes, just FYI. (Courtesy: Huffington Post)
Kanamara Matsuri has also gained the trust of the LGBT community in Japan, and companies that raise money for AIDS protection.
While these rituals might sound weird, this one sends a good message to the crowd, and that’s all that matters!

The Hodare festival in the city of Nagaoka is considered one of the country's biggest, and best, penis festivals - and there are a few
In the UK, it's good luck for the bride to wear something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.
But across Japan, you'll stand a better chance of marital success if the bride climbs atop a giant wooden penis and is paraded through town while waving to everyone.
The Hodare festival in the city of Nagaoka is considered one of the country's biggest, and best, penis festivals - and there are a few.
On the second Sunday of March each year, women who have wed in the past 12 months don traditional Japanese bridal gowns and straddle a totemic tool as it is carried through the streets.
The gigantic, seven foot phallus is celebrated as an emblem of good fortune, with huge crowds gathering to touch and stroke the mighty member as it passes.
The festivities are seen as bestowing fertility, marital bliss and good luck on those who participate.
"Hodare" translates into English as "male genitals", although apparently if spelled out in caps it means "ripening of rice plants" .
It is believed there have been Hodare festivals held in japan for centuries, although in recent years they have, unsurprisingly, become much bigger tourist attractions.
The parade comes after news that a housewife hacked at her husband's penis with a kitchen knife because he wouldn't have sex with her for over a decade.
Sex starved Rita Yadav almost fully detached Ved Prekash's genitals from the base during her vicious outburst, leaving him in a critical condition and with a cut that was almost four inches deep.
It took surgeons FIVE HOURS to reattach his penis and although Ved, 31, is now out of danger, he's still in hospital recovering.
Before slashing at his bits, Rita, 28, knocked out her taxi driver husband by hitting him over the head with a stone grinder.
She locked him in the bathroom following the attack at their home in Ghaziabad, northern India, on Thursday morning and then handed herself in at the local police station - telling horrified detectives that her actions were revenge.
Rita claimed that her husband refused to have sex with her for ten years of their 11-year marriage and she believed he was having an affair.
"He used to tell me he hated me," she said. "We used to fight daily and he told me he hated looking at my face. He always threatened he would have an affair.
"I was desperate to have children. I used to beg him but he said he’d make love to someone else instead. I’d been dealing with the torture for years and I couldn’t take any more."
