Just days after Lady Gaga shared a nude bathtub photo , January Jones turned it up a couple notches with one of the sexiest bath time snapshots we've ever seen.
Of course, Jones' photo -- taken by photographer Ben Hasset for Violet Gray magazine -- involved violet-colored water and champagne , and the fact that she hadn't been vomited upon earlier instantly upped the sexiness factor tenfold.
In another shot, the 36-year-old lounged seductively in nothing but a strategically placed fur coat . The "Mad Men" star shared the photo on her Instagram account, and captioned the shot, "#classicyettotallyimpracticaljustlikemyself."
And while the photos might have been revealing, the actress prefers to remain somewhat elusive to the public eye.
"I prefer to remain mysterious and have people make their own judgment calls about me than to always have to explain who I am and what I'm about," Jones told Violet Grey . "I try to take risks and shock people a little bit, it's important to provoke some sort of emotion, negative or positive."

She’s stealing herself for one last hurrah as bored housewife Betty Draper in Mad Men, but January Jones is a mere shadow of her screen character in a sizzling new photo-shoot.
The 37-year-old actress models six different hairstyles, five outfits and, in one tasteful black and white shot, goes completely naked on behalf of Los Angeles based luxury content and beauty brand Violet Grey’s The Violet Files.
A first shot captures January topless, her exposed breasts only partially hidden beneath her long, tousled and naturally parted hair.

In a second she plays a willowy femme fatale, her blonde locks tied in a loose bun as she throws a seductive gaze off camera.
A plunging red evening dress with floral embellishments and a dramatically cinched waistline accentuated her slender physique.
In one of two headshots the actress adopts a thoughtful pose, her chin propped on one hand as she stares out at the reader, a messy fringe covering one side of her face and offering her lime green embellished ensemble an edgy flourish.

We've seen January Jones clad in a number of pretty, feminine looks, most recently rocking Preen dresses to perfection. But this was a whole new stripped back look (literally) for the Mad Men star.
The flaxen haired actress posed in a series of fashion-forward shots in a new editorial for Violet Grey, working a Givenchy feather jacket and Schiaparelli dress among others.
But it was this smart blazer by Fausto Puglisi that really caught our eye. The sharp, clean tailoring, and minimal design aside from a bold green stripe is refreshingly pared-back and androgynous.
We can see ourselves working this chic coverup with anything from distressed denim and sleek nude heels to tailored black trousers and trainers.
Sadly, the blazer hails from the Pre-Fall collection, so won't be available till later this year, but head to our edit below to nab youself a similar jacket to suit up in.

A white shirt, open at the collar, enhances the look, while her hair – slicked to the side and maintained with a crisp side-parting – reinforces the most masculine of her six new looks.

The new series plays on role play and transformation, concepts the actress is all too familiar with thanks to her career changing role in sixties based period drama Mad Men.
Talking to The Violet Files, January admitted she’s pleased with the way the series, which launches the second part of its seventh and final season on April 5, comes to an end.

‘I was surprised, but the show has always surprised me,’ she said. ‘Each episode is so good and sort of ties up things—not in a perfect bow, obviously—but I think the audience will be happy.’
Referring to her latest photo shoot, January said the images gave depth and resonance to female identity.
‘We wanted to do an elevated take on before-and-after photos and explore the idea that A LOT of women, myself included, feel less vulnerable once they’re dressed and have their make up on,’ she said.
Having radically transformed for each shot, January admitted the transformation prompted her to think about her own transition during adolescence.
‘I was at my most confident as a kid,’ she reflected. ‘It actually wasn’t until I got into high school and started to get ‘pretty' that my confidence started to disappear.
‘So I want to give the message that girls can be proud and self-assured no matter what funky haircut they have.’
