They also threatened to strand girls in San Francisco or fine them if they didn't do the shoot, yelled at them during the shoots if they wanted a break, and doxxed them afterwords so they could be stalked and harassed. They were giving girls a reason to sue or press charges.
If they really wanted to "trick" amateur girls into doing porn they could have just bribed them with higher offers and some of them still would have done it for the money.
