Legendary Singer-Songwriter James Taylor Announces Final Tour

After more than five decades of captivating audiences with his soothing voice and timeless hits, music icon James Taylor has announced his farewell tour, 'The Long Goodbye.' The 76-year-old Grammy-winning artist revealed the news in an emotional video message to fans, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support throughout his legendary career.

'This tour is my way of saying thank you—one last time,' Taylor said. 'Music has been my life’s greatest joy, and sharing it with all of you has been an incredible gift.'

The 'Long Goodbye' tour will kick off in Boston, Massachusetts, on September 15, 2025, with stops in over 30 cities across North America and Europe. Special guests, including Brandi Carlile and Sheryl Crow, will join Taylor on select dates. Fans can expect classic hits like 'Fire and Rain,' 'You’ve Got a Friend,' and 'Carolina in My Mind,' along with deep cuts from his extensive catalog.

Tickets go on sale May 10, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Taylor’s longstanding environmental and mental health charities.

While Taylor has hinted at occasional future performances, he confirmed this will be his last major tour. 'It’s time to pass the torch,' he said with a smile. 'But the music will always be there.'
