Jaina Proudmoore is the founder and former Lady of Theramore Isle (as well as its only leader during its brief existence), the Alliance's major port in southern Kalimdor. After the destruction of Theramore, she took leadership of the Kirin Tor. She is the daughter of Grand Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, sister of Tandred Proudmoore and Derek Proudmoore, and the alleged half-sister of Finnall Goldensword. She is also the most powerful human sorceress on Azeroth. [1]

A definitive character in the Warcraft series from Warcraft III and above, it’s safe to say that Jaina has had enough time to create a fair few amount of cosplays in her time. Maybe even as many as the likes of other popular characters such as Sylvanas Windrunner and The Lich King himself.
Here, we’ll count through the best of the best, and talk about what makes them a great tribute to an even greater character.

For a character like Jaina, there are a fair few different versions of her out there. From Warcraft 3 to WoW, to Heroes of the Storm and back, there are a million different spins and turns you can put on her character to make a damn good cosplay out of what you’ve got. Kioky-Chan’s work shows us that no matter how old the style of Warcraft III can be, it still makes for one damn good cosplay! This is more of a blend of her Heroes of the Storm style with its intricate armor, which borrows from Warcraft III, and the original piece itself. It’s a perfect blend for a perfect cosplay!

When World of Warcraft entered the Mists of Pandaria, Jaina Proudmoore’s look changed slightly. Her look matched the shift in her story, with her hair going white (save for a blonde strip in the front) and her story filled with more sadness than you can shake a stick at. This cosplay by Cinderys captures that so well, with the solemn look and the cool colors. The detailing on the armor is insane, also!

Before the Mists of Pandaria, Jaina Proudmoore was a lot more of a light-hearted character than she is these Legion days. Focusing more on peace and prosperity, and trying to help more than ruin everything, her original character design reflected that. Ardella’s cosplay shows us that greatly, from the vibrant colors on the armor, to the light in the background and the expression. Quite the contrast from Cinderys’ work, but still beautiful nonetheless. Ardella has also worked on a Heroes of the Storm variation on Jaina, but personally I prefer this one.

Another hugely different but still great cosplay is Atsukine-chan’s Jaina. This looks more like her Hearthstone portrait, in where she’s the poster girl for the mage deck. The dramatic colors and the blue-hue on her usually purple armor make this one of the stand out Jaina cosplays out there. In my opinion it really stands out from the rest, without going too far away from the original Jaina look.

Another cool rendition on Jaina. This time it’s by Yarpenna , who goes for a traditional approach on Jaina’s standard Heroes of the Storm look. The innocent look given to her greatly compliments her character, and the detailing even on the staff makes the whole cosplay come together nicely. A great, effective go at Ms. Proudmoore herself.

Another look at the more innocent side to the character, and I think Lady Felan captures this beautifully! The interesting twist on the traditional World of Warcraft style armor with a more plate look to it, and with the addition of the magic in editing, the whole thing comes together beautifully. With a wistful look about her, it makes me wonder if she’s still thinking about Arthas these days…

Putting a more fleshed out and detailed twist on to the traditional World of Warcraft armor Jaina has, Stella Chuu manages to make even a post-Mists of Pandaria Jaina look wistful and as innocent as she used to be. I also have a soft spot for this cosplay as it shows it doesn’t matter what your real look is, you can still pull of a great rendition no matter what, and still be faithful to the character you’re portraying.

Totally different from our last cosplay, DenikaKiomi takes our usual Jaina Proudmoore and manages to make her look BADASS in one image! From the fire in the background (I wonder which Orc she burst into flames for that one…) to the angered facial expression, DenikaKiomi has really got it down. I’d say this rendition of Jaina after Mists of Pandaria is near true perfection!

Although this is a popular one (as you’re likely to see it after a five second google search about Jaina herself), there’s a good reason for that! Ver1sa takes Jaina to the next level in these images, from everything from the armor to the piercing eyes. I remember the first time I ever saw this cosplay, and I was convinced that it was a fan’s painting piece. That’s how good it really is! There are a few different images of this cosplay out there, too, and I can tell you they’re all as beautiful as this one.

Narga-Lifestream does a lot of cosplay. From a quick look at their gallery, that is obvious. But some of their most viewed and known cosplays are of Ms. Jaina herself, and I don’t disagree with the masses. This image of Jaina playing Hearthstone (against a just peeking Valeera Sanguinar) are genius! The armor detailing is the most detailed I’ve seen, and even the hair and the Hearthstone cards she’s holding are faithfully done. You can tell this is a cosplay made with pure love poured into it! Along with this, there’s also a video of how these photos were taken, and the attention to detail is just awesome.
