Jailbreaking Legacy Devices

1)Remove iTunes 
2)Move the iTunes folder from music, or just change its name 
3)Download the iTunes 10 
4)Right-click on the installation, “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and choose Windows 7 
5)Install iTunes 10 
6)Restart your computer 
7)Install redsn0w and run as administrator 
Connect your iOS device 
Click jailbreak 
follow the steps shown on the screen 

1)Install redsn0w 
2)Connect your device to your mac 
3)Click jailbreak 
4)follow the steps shown on the screen

For iPod Touch 2G on iOS 4.2.1_: first downgrade to iOS 4.1 and only then follow the steps. 

To downgrade, go to ipsw.me, download the correct firmware, backup your device, and get into recovery mode. 
In iTunes (no matter the version), press shift on Windows, or option if on Mac, and press Restore, navigate to your Downloads folder and choose the recently downloaded ipsw. If you don’t follow those step redsn0w will tether jailbreak your device.

Phœnix - Changing the name to Phoenix

1)Download the phœnix ipa 
2)Change the .ipa to .zip 
3)Extract the zip 
4)Open the Payload folder 
5)Open info.plist 
6)Everywhere you see phœnix, change it to phoenix 
7)Save the file 
8)Zip the Payload folder 
9)Rename the zip to “Phoenix.ipa”

1)Install Altserver 
2)Install Altserver Patcher 
3)Rename phœnix
4)Upload phœnix to blackbaze 
5)Open Altserver Patcher 
6)Navigate to where your Altserver .exe file is 
7)Choose the .exe file of Altserver 
8)Choose “Custom URL” 
9)Paste the phœnix ipa file you just uploaded to blackbaze 
10)Connect your device 
11)Enter your Apple ID (you can make a new one for it) 
12)Install 
13)Open Settings on your iOS device 
14)Choose General 
15)Choose Certificates 
16)Choose your Apple ID certificate 
17)Choose to verify it 
18)Close Settings 
19)Open phœnix 
20)Jailbreak

5)Drag and Drop your phœnix ipa to altdeploy

7)Follow steps 13-20 in the phœnix for Windows tutorial

1)Download the phœnix ipa.

3)Install Altdeploy. Doesn’t matter which version
