It would probably be a good idea for me to mention that I basically ended the Jackson MS Music project a couple of weeks ago. The reason was mostly a case of being burnt out after almost 5 years of filming bands, plus I reached a point of needing to work on getting items in my life back on track. The good news is that unlike when this project started in January 2011, it is now really easy for bands to produce videos of their music--smart phones, GoPros, inexpensive editing …software, etc, are readily available. In addition to that, there are plenty of people in Jackson who will film your band for a fair price and the results will be a lot better than what I was doing. It was fun getting to know a lot of great people and hearing a lot of great bands--that made it worthwhile to me.
