Project Description

The project is the bank's strategic single dealer platform aimed at internal/external users for sales and trading of FX products built using the modern technology stack (HTML5, Javascript/ES2015, React/Redux, Websockets/Rest and Java8 at the backend).

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work on developing HTML / JavaScript components and associated back end services of the application, assist in analysis and estimation of new requirements, and integrate services for pricing and execution delivered by server-side components. The collaboration will be required with a design/user experience group providing visual assets for components to ensure a consistent user experience is maintained. Co-ordination will also be required with peer web developers to ensure code deliveries adhere to coding guidelines and to non-functional benchmarks.

Skills

MUST

Expertise in modern web technology, including:

• HTML5

• CSS3

• JavaScript (preferably ES2015)

Open-source libraries, tools and technologies, especially:

• react

• redux

• d3.js

• lodash.js or underscore.js

• node.js

• webpack

• npm

• sass / less

• karma.js

• babel

Knowledge, understanding and experience of:

• REST APIs

• Distributed version control systems (preferably Git)

• Automation technologies for testing and other purposes

• Agile/lean development processes

It would be beneficial for you to have:

• Knowledge of investment banking and the foreign exchange

• Personal code visible in your www.github.com profile

• Technical writing or talks published on a blog or elsewhere on the internet

• Experience with other programming languages such as Java, etc.

• Experience with real-time data-streaming and messaging systems
