One of the best customised cake I’ve seen in the market, my girlfriend was so surprised and in love with the cake in first sight. Ordered Mickey & Minnie Mouse theme with Strawberry shortcake, the cake itself also delicious. I would recommend any friends or others to get from them to surprise/impress their friend/partner! Definitely a 10/10 will return back to get it from them in the future!

Janine is friendly and patience in answering all my queries even though I am unable to decide what design I wanted. The cake was super well done and cute. My family likes the taste of the cake. The cake is less sweet and it does make us wanting to get more. Will definitely recommend my family and friends to choose J Petite Patisserie when they are looking for cake!

I have never had a cake occupy my mind but this one is a charmer. The orh-nee or yam cake has bits of chunks. I don't fancy sweet cakes and have requested for minimal sugar. Mindful that it is reduced sugar, my fork was unstoppable. Rarely do I want to devour a whole cake but Janine's cake is so addictive. Making an effort to stop and leave for later is the hardest decision I have ever made.

Love the cake from them ❤️ Not only looks amazingly pretty, it tastes delicious too!! Janine was very patient and gave us what we had asked for, without missed any of the details.
Thanks for the effort, 👍🏻 for the cake!

One of the best customised cakes I have seen, my girl loved it very much, Thanks Janine for this wonderful cake 😊

Thank you Janine for baking this beautiful cake! We have chosen lychee rose and it tastes so good!! The process of ordering is quick and smooth too. Highly recommend J Petite!!

I approached Janine to do a bus themed cake and she didn’t disappoint! Her work is so well done that I feel like keeping the fondant figurines. Thank you for hard work! 😊

Perfect cake!!! Highly satisfied. Beautiful looking and flowers were v artistically arranged! Replies were prompt and communication was a breeze. 2nd time ordering and cake didn’t disappoint as always. Thank you!!! 😊

I’ve ordered cakes from many different bakers, but J Petite really surpasses them all in terms of service, aesthetics and taste! Janine was super accommodating and made the effort to give me just the cake I wanted for my niece’s 1st birthday. I ordered the Pastel Drip cake with the Pig topper, and it looked as pretty or even prettier than what I imagined. The speculoos cookie cake base was just right, flavourful and not too sweet. The cake won praises from all, and that’s really quite a feat, I had too many unsuccessful cases before that. Had such a wonderful experience with J Petite, I’d strongly recommend their cakes to all who haven’t tried yet 🙂 PS I don’t really write reviews, this is my first ever.

My third time ordering a cake with J Petite! Always a wonderful experience and she’s so accommodating. Appreciate it so much!

My hubby really loves the design of the cake and even gave 10/10. Taste wise like what others have mentioned it is lighter/less sweet and the texture of the sponge is very moist and soft kind. Janine was also very patient even when I was undecided on the design of the cake. Really enjoying engaging her and working on the design of the cake together! 😁

I placed orders for 2 cakes for my girl’s 1st birthday, which is celebrated over 2 different dates and places. I’m extremely pleased with enquiries exchanged over WhatsApp which was a breeze! Prior to the delivery, notifications were sent to prompt. The cakes not only look fantastic, but also tasted great and less sweet (as they have described). But of course the icing/fondue is sweet of course (duh, it’s sugar!).

I have been so excited for this post for quite some time, and I am thrilled to be sharing it with you today! For those who have been following me on Instagram know that my daughter Vienna Rose was born on 6/11/2019, and she's been an absolute blessing. Before Vienna was born I worked hard on creating a nursery where we could make memories together, and I am thrilled to say it's finally done!

The nursery was intended to be my office, and started to decorate my work space with this beautiful peony wallpaper right when we moved in last June. Quickly after putting the wallpaper up both Todd and I decided that we wanted to start trying to get pregnant. Within 2 months of trying I found out that I was pregnant! With the new exciting news I quickly put a halt on completing my office until we knew the gender of our baby. Right when we found out I was pregnant with a girl I knew that my office had to become the nursery!

To get some ideas for decorating the nursery I quickly turned to Pinterest to find some inspiration. After hours and hours of searching Pinterest I decided that my color scheme would be grey, white, and light pink. The next step to this was to go shopping! Back in February I drove up to my local Raymour & Flanigan to find the perfect pieces for Vienna's room. When shopping the showroom I worked closely with one of the Raymour & Flanigan managers to help me find furniture that would go along with the theme of the nursery. I was blown away with how helpful and knowledgeable the staff was, and they even helped me find all the pieces I needed that stayed within my budget.

In the showroom I found the perfect dresser that would double as a changing station, and the softest rug that would be ideal for little Vienna to play on. When it came to the crib, crib mattress (BONUS: doubles as a toddler mattress), side table, lamp, glider, and ottoman they all had to be special ordered since they weren't in the showroom. One of the best things about Raymour & Flanigan is that they offer FREE SHIPPING, and NEXT DAY MATTRESS DELIVERY! When you are making big purchases such as furniture, free shipping is honestly the way to go!

When delivery day came I was beyond excited to see how everything was going to come together! It was like a second Christmas! Once the delivery men set up all the furniture in the nursery I immediately started to add the finishing touches to Vienna's space.

In the end I was so thrilled out Vienna's nursery turned out, and how Raymour & Flanigan helped me complete my vision!

Thank you to Raymour & Flanigan for kindly sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.

Happy Tuesday blog fam! Since July I've been working on furnishing my first home, and I am so happy to share with you my living room with you today. With living in Utah to Arizona to Texas to Pennsylvania we have lived like college students, and our apartments reflected that lifestyle.

Since I have never done anything close to interior design the thought of decorating my living room without help of a professional seemed like foreign territory. I can style a shoot from start to finish, but when it comes to real spaces my brain freezes up.

My first task was to decide on the color scheme of the room, and if it wasn't for my husband there would be pink everywhere. Since a baby pink couch wouldn't resonate with my doctor of a husband I decided on a more gender neutral color scheme of grey, blues, and golds. After I battled myself with the color scheme I did what any other girl would do for inspiration. Head to Pinterest. From Pinterest I created boards of inspiration, and from that I started searching for the perfect pieces for the room.

Since my living room has vaulted ceilings I wanted to find pieces that could hold the space of this airy room. I saw this bookcase on Wayfair, and it screamed modern-glam. Saw it. Loved it. Bought it.

When it came to decorating the bookshelf I made sure it was representative of both Todd and I. All the objects have the girly glamor that screamed Jessica while maintaining Todd's voice with books on surgery and medicine.

Since I am all about snuggling on the couch no room is complete with blankets. I got the softest blanket in from an Easy shop called SheSewClassy, and it has become my number one snuggler for movie nights.

When I started ordering in things for the room one of my pieces that came in was the two art pieces from Minted . Todd and I knew we wanted two pieces to frame our DIY tv stand, and we scoured the Minted site for the perfect match. We saw these two gorgeous art pieces that had a mixture of blue, and gold that matched our room perfectly. The different shades of blue in the art tied in multiple pieces from the room. The best part of Minted is that they frame, and matte the art for you making life so much easier. If you have never tried minted I HIGHLY recommend them.

When it comes to my personal style I absolutely love mixing together patterns, and that can be seen all throughout my living room. I am a big advocate that no room/outfit is complete without a little animal print, and this pillow from TelunaLife was the perfect addition for my navy accent chair.

While I was unsure at first of the design of the room, one thing I knew for sure was that I wanted a gallery wall of my favorite pictures of Todd and I. I was super picking on finding frames for the gallery wall, and it took me a couple months to find the perfect ones for the right price. The winners ended up coming from Target, and they ended up working out perfectly!

One of the debates Todd and I had was on the throw pillows. If Todd could have his way he would only have two pillows on the couch. Since men don't really have a choice in the design process ;) I had quite a pillow addiction. To me the pillows add texture, color, and are a beautiful layering element. The first pillow I got in were the blue/grey furry ones from GHomePillows, and quickly became the favorite sleeping pillows for Django and Renly. Next I got in these gorgeous Fawn pillows from ThePillowCoverStore, and act as a neutral design. Finally I added more spice with two single accent pillows. The gold sequin pillow from anekdesigns was an obvious choice since gold is pretty dominate in the room. The sequins give that added texture and dimension. The final pillow was this gorgeous animal print one from PillowTimeGirls.

One of the final touches I added to the room was adding some decor to the top of the coffee table. I love love love having fresh flowers in the house, but lets be real, with having faux flowers you'll save yourself weekly trips to the market. I got in this gorgeous floral piece from a fellow texan Robert Lawrence Designs.

With having a glass coffee table I quickly learned that coasters are a MUST to prevent me from cleaning condensation off my table everyday. I got in these gorgeous gold and marble coasters in from NYCN designs, and they aren't only beautiful but functional as well.

Definitely saving the best for last. The first thing that I got for the room was the GORGEOUS chandelier in from Hudson Valley Lighting. When the truck came to my house to unload my chandelier I was beyond giddy with joy. You know you are adulting hard when waiting for a chandelier is the most exciting part of your week. When the electricians came to put up the chandelier I was ecstatic to say "bye Felicia" to the previous fan light. #ripfan

The hardest part about finding a light for the room was going on the Hudson Valley Lighting site, and deciding the best chandelier when they are all gorgeous! It honestly has become such a key piece in the room, and made me realize how important lighting is when it comes to designing a room.

Since it's #fbf let us take a trip down memory lane to a time where Clueless was the best movie EVER, "As If" was a saying, and plaid skirts were a closet staple of the 90s.

I love everything 90s because it reminds me of my childhood, and this season is going to be filled with fashionable pieces from the 90s with a modern twist. I am personally excited for all the plaid, logo tees, Levi jeans, and buckled boots.

Recently I went onto Ebay to find some 90s pieces for the fall, and they had so many pieces to choose from. Recently I've been wanting a plaid mini to pair with some OTK boots, and found this Free People one that was a fraction of the original price! Since we just bought a house I am on a strict budget, and Ebay has become my recent go-to place to find killer deals on the latest trends. My next purchase from Ebay is going to be a Levi's cut off skirt that will be perfect to pair with an oversized logo tee.

What's your favorite trend from the 90s?

This post is in collaboration with eBay. All opinions and selections are my own!
