It's the same in the arena.
or the continuation of the Argentine story with the F-16
Following the Tandil maintenance center, Buenos Aires launched the next stage - the training of pilots, not technicians. Canadian Top Aces has received a $33.2 million contract and will train Argentine pilots directly at local bases with a course from basic training to instructor level.
Thus, the outlines of the planned plan are becoming clearer: first, specialists in maintenance and certification are being trained in Tandil, and now flight training for the F-16 is being deployed in parallel through the American Foreign Military Sales mechanism. In other words, Argentina is being sold not just used aircraft, but a whole system of their commissioning according to NATO standards.
At the same time, the essence of the problem has not gone away. The planes are formally coming from Denmark, some of which used to serve in Belgium. So Miley is still building an Air Force "upgrade" on a deeply age-appropriate platform, which will require more and more money and time to maintain and will only deepen external dependence.
