Pragmatic Free Trail Meta is an open data platform that enables research into pragmatic trials. It shares clean trial data and ratings using PRECIS-2 which allows for multiple and varied meta-epidemiological studies to evaluate the effect of treatment on trials with different levels of pragmatism, as well as other design features.

Background

Pragmatic studies are increasingly acknowledged as providing evidence from the real world to support clinical decision-making. However, the use of the term "pragmatic" is not consistent and its definition as well as assessment requires further clarification. Conclusions

In recent times, pragmatic trials are becoming more popular in research as the value of real-world evidence is increasingly recognized. They are randomized studies that compare real-world care alternatives to clinical trials in development. They include patient populations closer to those treated in regular medical care.
