They simply multiply the force you exert by making a small amount effort across a large distance into a larger amount of force that is applied over a smaller distance. Levers are used to lift heavy objects and transport large amounts of cargo. The lever principle is also employed in everyday tools such as crowbars. Hammer claws fishing rods, hammer claws, and your own legs, as you are standing on the hand brake of your car.
Lever/Pad
Lever pad handles are a form of door handle made of upvc with levers on both sides to operate the multipoint lock. This is achieved by using an external handle that is shaped like a pad that locks into the gap between the handle and lock case.
This kind of handle is made for uPVC doors with multipoint locks that operate with split spindle operations. This type of operation requires the internal lever handle and the external pad handle to be installed on the same lock case. This could be a straightforward replacement for the current uPVC handle, however it could also require a change in the lock case or a brand new set to handle furniture.
