I've observed that any soft carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.
