In South Korea, 26 percent of the population is Christian. The creationists have been successful in promoting their beliefs to this population. In the past of the anti-evolution movement in Korea was focused on teaching college students and bringing them to Christ. A significant increase in the interest in creation science occurred in the year 1980, when there was a four-day seminar held during the World Evangelization Crusade in Seoul that included Drs. In the late 19th century and the beginning of 20th, Korea moved toward a Westernised lifestyle. The traditional hanbok, or Korean dress, gave way to miniskirts and other fashion elements imported from abroad. In the same way, traditional Korean music styles were replaced by contemporary jazz and rock and roll.
