On November 16, Italian chefs delegation hosted a master class at the Zeyn's Cafe, a member of the Gastronomic Tourism Association of Uzbekistan. The visit was organized by Gastronomic Tourism Association of Uzbekistan, the State Committee for Tourism Development, and Zeyn's Cafe.

The guests' master-class is sponsored by the Italian government, to showcase the traditional cuisine and culture of Italy, to share their experiences and get acquainted with the Uzbek cuisine. A group of 25 professional chefs, culinary educators and several students from the International Culinary School of Francesco Datini of Prato, Elsa Morante International School, prepared traditional Italian dishes.

Among them, dishes such as Halmon, Cavatelli (pasta) and Rizotto, made by Filippo Traversi, Bernardo Somigli and other chefs, were skillfully presented by chefs and students.

One of the students in the master class, Sarah Bandinelli, shared her impressions of Uzbekistan in her interview and wished them the best. Among them was Anhelona Lysun, an Ukrainian student studying in Italy on a student-exchange program, who has been instrumental in communicating and interpreting Russian speaking skills.

After the master class, Italian guests visited the Khorezm National Restaurant in Navruz Park. They were served a table based on Uzbek hospitality traditions, tukhumbarak, mince kebabs and gumma.

According to our guests, tukhumbarak is delicious enough to compete with Italian pastes. Italian partners have expressed their desire to participate in the International Pasta Festival, organized by the Gastronomic Tourism Association of Uzbekistan in 2020 in Khorezm.
