The Chora Church/Mosque - Turkish Kariye Müzesi/Camii is considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of a Byzantine Church.
The church is located in the western Fatih district of İstanbul. It stands on sedimentary layers and anthropogenic infills on a slope descending towards the north.
