As part of ongoing punitive actions against the aggressor and in response to what the statement described as “crimes” committed by the U.S. military—which claimed to have attacked this morning the road used by pilgrims of Imam Abi Abdullah al-Husayn (peace be upon him), thereby revealing—according to the statement—its true nature and exposing to the world its brutality and the cruelty of its leaders, the fighters of the Revolutionary Guard carried out this morning, as part of the 26th wave of Operation “Victory 2,” under the slogan “O Abu Abdullah al-Husayn (peace be upon him)” and as a tribute to the pilgrims marking the 40th day of al-Husayn’s martyrdom, carried out combined attacks that, according to the statement, led to the destruction of a U.S. special electronic warfare unit at the al-Qadiriyah base.

The residences of members of this unit were also targeted, resulting in the death and injury of some of them.

The statement added that the base’s air traffic control tower was also struck, causing damage, and emphasized that the forces’ retaliatory operations are ongoing.

The statement asserted that, following their failure on the battlefield, the United States is once again attempting—in their own words—to use deception to gain an opportunity to catch its breath and rearm, noting that U.S. officials have in recent days repeated talk of the possibility of returning to negotiations.

The statement added that the enemy must pay the price for violating the agreements and that, this time—according to the statement—the United States will not be allowed to exploit any ceasefire to replenish its oil and ammunition reserves and then resume its attacks.

The statement also asserted that the U.S. military, which had used cruise missiles launched from its ships in the Indian Ocean after the resumption of the war, resorted yesterday to using B-1 bombers that took off from Fairford Air Base in the United Kingdom, after the missile stocks on those ships were depleted.

The statement also asserted, citing remarks by State Department officials, that any base used to launch an attack on Iranian territory is a legitimate target.

The statement further issued a warning to the United Kingdom, accusing it of being the primary cause of the suffering of the peoples of the region and of having a history that, according to the statement, includes the division of Islamic countries, carrying out large-scale massacres, imposing authoritarian governments, as well as organizing and leading the occupation of Palestine and the creation of Israel, and accusing it of participating in the latest American and Israeli attacks against Iran, warning it not to continue in this vein
