From reclaiming her cellulite, scars and freckles to shutting down the thigh gap debate once and for all, size 14 English model Iskra Lawrence has been an outspoken advocate for body positivity. It's a subject she takes seriously, so much so, she's made it her job, serving as the managing editor at RunwayRiot , a fashion, style and beauty site for women of all sizes.
The site debuted Wednesday its first editorial spread featuring Lawrence alongside "smoldering body-positive megababes" Chloe Vero, Laney Degrasse, Victoria Gomez, Chloe Marshall, Ash Walker, Fiona Falkiner and Michelle Vawer all fashioned in athletic wear — and the images entirely unretouched.
Look familiar? The shoot is an homage to the 1995 classic Clueless .
"I was inspired by the Clueless gym scene and I was determined to style these women in snug clothes in black, white, gray and deep blue," the shoot's creative director and stylist, Ashley Hoffman, wrote in an accompanying post . "I envisioned an army of women — all tough stares and power stances banding together in the name of body positivity.
"I wanted it to be cool, not a sweet slumber party."
Lawrence has been a vocal proponent of unretouched photos, appearing as the face (and body) of the Aerie's #AerieReal campaign earlier this year.
Why does Lawrence subscribe to an authentic ideal so many fight against with apps like FaceTune, Instagram and Snapchat? "It makes me feel good enough not just as a model, but as a human," she said in the post. "If I can't relate to my own body, how can anyone else?"
Lawrence is one of a burgeoning group of people pushing back upon fashion's antiquated ideals for the size and shape of models. From Ashley Graham to Barbie Ferreira to Zach Miko , models of all sizes are continuing to forge paths for themselves within a once-insular industry. Further, they're doing it without conforming, rather boisterously using their platform to speak to an issue that so many face: that of not seeing their body reflected in advertisements.
Furthermore, RunwayRiot's editorial shows that being fit does not necessarily mean fitting into a Kylie and Kendall Jenner swimsuit. Fit does not look one certain way, more importantly, it is not for someone else to determine about another person's body.
So what change does Lawrence want to see next? "More inclusion and the celebration of diversity," she said. "Brands that have larger sizes to start lending samples for editorials and investing in advertising also." If anyone's got brand's ears at the moment, it's Lawrence.

But Iskra Lawrence looked ravishing as she showcased her post-pregnancy body in stylish snaps from a home photoshoot that were shared via Instagram on Thursday.
The model, 29, was sure to set pulses racing as she posed in a plunging white crop top and high-waist trousers for plus size brand Persona.

Iskra added a chic touch to the look by wearing a cropped white blazer, as she got back to work just two and a half months after giving birth to her son.
Adding a pop of colour to the look, the model also showcased a handbag that had a tropical-print and a rustic chain bag strap.
Her blonde locks were brushed into a sleek, straight style and she embraced her natural beauty by wearing a light palette of make-up.
Iskra clarified to her followers that she opted to do the shoot at home amid the coronavirus crisis, as she wrote in the caption: 'Took my lil shoot for @personabymr outside...but only as far as the porch.'

The star spoke about life when she was one week post-partum on her YouTube channel, addressing everything from adult nappies to sleepless nights.
Iskra, who she shares her two-month-old with American boyfriend Philip Payne, said she was 'crying randomly at everything' and the change from being pregnant to having a tummy 'soft and jelly like' made her feel 'weirdly empty'.
Studies have shown that most healthy women maintain an abundant milk supply while taking in 1800-2200 (or more) per day.

Iskra, who is yet to reveal the name of her son, said she is consuming 4,000 calories a day, eating plenty of fruit, vegetables, chicken, fish and protein pancakes.
She told fans: 'Breastfeeding is exhausting. It takes up so many nutrients.
'My midwife is like you're going to have to eat at least 4,000 calories a day, which is a hell of a lot of food. When you don't have time, the last thing you're thinking about is meals.'
Iskra went on to describe some of her symptoms, shortly after giving birth.

While she didn't tear because she did vaginal exercises, the model said she was suffering from lots of bleeding- something she didn't know about and wasn't prepared for.
'I keep on bleeding. Things would keep on coming on out of your body,' she said.
'There's a lot of changes. I feel like pregnancy was a slow gradual change my bump didn't come in until 18 weeks.
'Even my boob growth, I grew 2 cup sizes but it seemed more gradual.

'Postpartum you've popped this baby out. Boom you're stomach is suddenly empty. Instead of being hard and full of a child it is soft and jelly like and weirdly empty and alone feeling.
'Second effect pregnancy hormones, emotions. You've just had a baby so you're very emotional. It's another thing to contend with just crying randomly at anything.

'Number three, lack of sleep. Everyone warns you before get the sleep now. You take everything with a pinch of sleep. You won't sleep at all really the first week, it's almost impossible

'Our child likes to cry, loud. It makes you feel disappointed in yourself: 'Oh my goodness am I doing something wrong?' The sleep is really tricky.'
Last month, Iskra shared a candid video of her home birth in order to give her fans an insight into delivery during the coronavirus pandemic.
In a 15-minute long YouTube video with Philip, Iskra admitted having her placenta pulled out was the 'best feeling in the world' and she buried it in her garden where two trees are now growing from it.

Instagram star Iskra Lawrence is embracing her “pregnancy body” — and she’s doing it in the buff.
Lawrence, a British model for Aerie, shared a short video clip from a recent nude photo shoot on social media, which she packaged together with a “pregnancy body update” for her millions of Instagram followers.
“I wanted to share my perspective as everyone’s journey is unique, my body is changing so much in totally new ways — it’s fascinating,” Lawrence wrote in the caption.
“As someone whose experienced body dysmorphia and disordered eating I wanted to talk from a recovery point of view and hopefully help you feel more comfortable on this journey too.”
Lawrence, 29, announced in early November that she and boyfriend Philip Payne were expecting their first child together . In the months since, she’s shared several follow-up posts to update followers on her pregnancy.

In November, Lawrence told Fox News that she’s excited to share “the real raw stuff” with followers.
"Any changes in your body that feel out of your control can trigger body image issues or reignite past eating disorders or body dysmorphia," she said. "So when I found out I was pregnant with my first, my friends from the ED [eating disorder] community asked how I was feeling with my body.
"I wondered, would I feel triggered? Would I be scared to watch my body grow?" she added.
That all changed, Lawrence said, when she settled into her pregnancy.
"I feel like my body is not just my home but it’s my baby's home and I want to let it do whatever it needs to make sure it’s the healthiest happiest place for them," she said. "I’m more appreciative and in awe of it than ever. But I’m also excited to share the real raw stuff as I go on this journey."
That same month, Lawrence told AOL that she felt very comfortable with her changing body.
“I have to admit this pregnancy bod is really sexy. I really do feel really good...like, really, really good,” she said.
One thing she isn’t comfortable with, however, is a gender-reveal party . Lawrence said earlier this month on Instagram that, at the fear of looking like a “party pooper,” she would not be holding the controversial ceremony, as it has no bearing on “who my child decides to be.”
Shortly before posting a clip from her nude photo shoot, Lawrence shared a more detailed “body update” on YouTube, where she admitted to now experiencing chest acne and stretch marks as a result of her pregnancy. She added that her experience as a lingerie model has helped her adapt to the changes.
