Every Body Is a Bikini Body! All the Times Iskra Lawrence Showed Off Her Natural Curves in Swimsuits

We see you, Iskra Lawrence ! While the British model has been on the radar for years, she’s looking happier and healthier than ever these days. In addition to her enviable, real curves, Iskra is a vocal advocate for body positivity and embracing the skin you’re in — especially while rockin’ swimsuits .
That became even more prominent once Iskra became a parent. The blonde beauty welcomed her first child with boyfriend Philip Payne in April 2020.
“I’m beyond overwhelmed to tell you baby P has arrived and me and daddy @philipapayne are taking time to be in awe that we are now a family of three,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “When I’m ready I cannot wait to share more details with you all on my home birth and this tiny human that we love beyond measure. I cannot thank you all enough [for all] of the love and support through this journey.”
Since then, the mom of one has spoken candidly about her postpartum body . “Posted these side by side because this is my current reality … maybe one shampoo a week, still living in my adult diapers (because yes you bleed for weeks after birth) sleep deprivation, leaky nips + hormonal acne,” she shared via Instagram one month after her son’s birth.
However, she is choosing to focus on the bright side. “Baby A.M.P is our dream come true and we know it’s going to get easier with time,” Iskra added. “I hope by sharing my struggles and being vulnerable some of you going through it feel less alone and know it’s OK to not be OK.”
Though Iskra has faced some challenges, everything is made easier thanks to Philip, who’s been super supportive of her . “We have been very honest with each other about our fears and what we are scared of, which is great, but just sort of feeling and having this connection,” she exclusively told Life & Style in March 2020. As a result, their baby boy brought them even closer together.

“When I look in the mirror and see weight gain, I choose instead to see all the other things I’ve gained from living life,” the model explained via Instagram in October. “Not being consumed with the fear of weight gain or the obsession with weight loss thanks to recovery has allowed me to achieve so much more.”
“Gained weight, still feel cute,” Iskra captioned this gorgeous photo in July 2021. “Let’s continue to normalize that our bodies fluctuate; soften, strengthen, stretch and evolve as we grow into new versions of ourselves.” While technically this appears to be a lingerie set instead of a bikini, she still looks unbelievable!
Who says you can’t wear a bikini at home? Iskra looked stunning in blue while flaunting her baby bump.

Whether she’s pregnant or not, Iskra always looks stunning!
Even though Iskra is constantly being photographed for professional swimsuit shoots, the blonde beauty never turns down the opportunity for a sweet bikini selfie.
Here she is showing of her abs — yes, curvy women can have abs — with a sultry mirror selfie.
… And another one, for good measure! We never get sick of Iskra’s confidence. It’s such an inspiration to anyone who seemingly doesn’t meet society’s beauty standards slaying it.
Who wouldn’t want to smile with a figure like that! The best part? While a lot of Instagram models retouch their photos or work certain angles, Iskra is all about showing off her body exactly as is … and it’s beautiful!
Back at it with another mirror selfie! We are obsessed with this bikini top. Who says women with bigger chests can’t have cute options? Not Iskra, that’s for sure.
Baby got back! Iskra is never (and we mean never) afraid to show off her booty … cellulite and all!
For real, though, where were the women who look like Iskra during the original Baywatch , huh? No tea, no shade, but we suspect an entire generation of women would have seriously appreciated that.
There’s no such thing as too much booty, right? Just because you’re “bigger” doesn’t mean you can’t rock the very same cheeky options at the beach. Remember that next summer, girls!
Thigh and gap are two harmless words separately, but a whole lot of bulls–t when put together. We appreciate Iskra embracing her thick thighs as they are.
A literal vision in red, don’t you think? Iskra is living proof that curvy women can still wear cute, form-fitting bikinis without looking matronly. Newsflash, designers: Bigger should never equal boring.
Are you getting sick of the butt shots? Sorry, we aren’t. It’s such a breath of fresh air to see a backside that looks like … well, a backside!
If you think that Iskra’s message stops at wearing a bikini, you thought wrong! She’s constantly speaking out against the impossible beauty standards that the fashion industry promotes.
Iskra once expressed: “I don’t live on the internet; I’m not a 2D image. Modeling is my career (I adore it), but it’s not who I am. I’m a human being who feels, hurts, and loves just the way you do, and I’ve come to terms with not being perfect and not needing to be.”
We also especially love this idea: “Pick out five things that you love about your body for what it does for you, because we want to change that discussion. It’s not just what your body looks like. Your body is an incredible thing.”
Don’t get it twisted, though. Iskra fully understands that self-Love doesn’t happen overnight. “You can learn and practice to accept, then love yourself because that’s what you deserve. Life gets so much easier when you are kind to yourself — and kind to others.”
Don’t let bikinis intimidate you, ladies! At the end of the day, it’s just an article of clothing … not the freakin’ Queen of England. Iskra once shared a similar sentiment about jeans.
She declared: “What the hell are these jeans right here, this piece of fabric [doing]? Trying to break me right now? I refuse, flat out refuse, to let them ruin how I feel about myself.”
Don’t be afraid to feel yourself, people! It’s not vanity, it’s incredible. “Yep I like my own pics … always have, because you gotta be your biggest cheerleader. Also I only post what I like, so, I’m gonna like it,” Iskra admitted.
As much as Iskra embraces her fuller figure, that’s hardly all she is. “I am not defined by size. I am not defined by my weight. I am not defined by a label. I am beautiful because I am me. I am good enough. I am worthy.”
Be sure to keep Iskra’s words in mind the next time you’re scrolling through Instagram, OK? “Don’t be fooled, lighting and angles change everything! I love my real skin, lumps, bumps, scars, squish, fat, muscle, pigmentation, all of it. You are good enough just the way you are. Your body or your life doesn’t need airbrushing.”
If you’re diggin’ Iskra’s body positivity message, there are plenty of other women you should consider following — many of which are Iskra’s friends!
Another thing we love about Iskra’s Instagram is that she actually shows pictures of … get this … food! That’s right, y’all. An actual model, in the actual real world, eating actual food — and not just kale smoothies! Your body needs sustenance and that’s OK.
“It gets me excited about the day because I know I’m fueling myself with good stuff,” she continued. As for the other two meals of the day? Iskra loves to switch it up. “For lunch, it can be literally anything. I love Asian food and making my own noodles or stir fry.”
We commend Iskra for having the courage to stand by her convictions (in a bikini, no less). We look forward to many more years of her powerful words and natural curves!

We can always count on Iskra Lawrence to bring the body-positive inspo we need to get through the day. In a recent Instagram post, the model got real about something we all have, but for some reason, still try to cover up: cellulite .

Lawrence posted a side-by-side shot of herself on the beach. In the first photo, you can't see any cellulite. But in the second—thanks to a slight angle and lighting change—her legs look just like ours.

"Don't be fooled, lighting and angles change everythannnggg [sic]," she writes. "I love my real skin, lumps, bumps, scars, squish, fat, muscle, pigmentation."

We love that Lawrence is helping to raise awareness of how common cellulite is. About 90 percent of women develop the dimpled texture on their skin at some point. It's a fact of life, and as Lawrence points out, certainly not an imperfection.

Many of us also have the wrong idea about cellulite. The truth: It's not necessarily a sign that you're out of shape. Even the fittest supermodels can still have little dimples on their thighs.

Cellulite may also be genetic for some people. "If your mom and other women in your family have cellulite, you will probably also get cellulite," New York City-based dermatologist Debra Jaliman , MD, previously told Health .

In other words, it can be unavoidable. The majority of us have some cellulite, and we're all for making the empowering decision to embrace it (as Lawrence has) and showing the world that these so-called "imperfections" are nothing to be ashamed of.

"You are good enough just the way you are," Lawrence wrote. "Your body or your life doesn't need airbrushing."
