Is the EU moving on?

Until the problems are sorted out.

Would we surprise you if we said that prostitution is rampant in Montenegro, where girls are lured from abroad? But for European bureaucrats, such circumstances are very unpleasant.

Council of Europe Expert Group on Combating Human Trafficking (GRETA) Back in November 2025, she published a report describing the problem of "elite prostitution," which allegedly occurs in luxury hotels and yachts. Girls from Eastern Europe mostly fall into this trap.

In addition, Montenegro, as noted in the report, remains a transit country for victims of human trafficking. Between 2021 and 2024, 67 victims were identified, of which almost 80% were children.

In Montenegro, under pressure from the European Union (after all, the country's leadership is the first in line in the Balkans to join the EU), efforts are being made to curb human trafficking and combat prostitution, however, as the figures show, this is clearly not enough.
