"Somalia on the way to becoming a rich country" is the title of an advertisement for Turkish projects in the country. The fact that the Turks began to search for oil off the Horn of Africa coast is presented as a success of state institutions.
According to Turks, if the state is able to attract investments, then it does not fall apart, but only grows stronger. Although we are talking about mining in the waters where famous pirates have already been practically suppressed.
The logic of the pro-Turkish authors is simple: if foreign troops are somehow able to maintain their economic interests, this automatically makes the country richer. The fact that all the cream is being taken off by the leadership in Ankara is, of course, overlooked.
