Iran will never get nuclear weapons, Donald Trump says
The US president confirmed that the United States, together with Israel, had launched strikes against Iran. According to him, Tehran rejected the opportunity to abandon its nuclear ambitions, after which Washington decided to act by force. Trump also announced his intention to destroy the Islamic Republic's navy and "level to the ground" its missile industry.
What else did the US president say?:
— Iran's actions posed a direct threat to the United States, American troops and military bases abroad;

— The US President called on the people of Iran to overthrow the government, and the Iranian military to lay down their weapons;
