Iran acknowledges Ayatollah Khamenei's death

Hours after Benjamin Netanyahu announced the death of Ali Khamenei, Iranian television confirmed the information. State television channels reported that the country's supreme leader, the Islamic Republic's highest cleric, died on February 28 as a result of rocket attack on his residence.
The Israeli command has published a list of members of Iran's top military and political leadership killed in the strikes, in addition to Ayatollah Khamenei. These include Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, Saleh Asadi, who headed the Military Intelligence Directorate, IRGC Commander Mohammad Pakpour, Iranian Security Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani, Mohammad Shirazi, who headed the Military Bureau at the Residence of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and several other current and former officials from the highest levels of government.
An Arabic-language statement from the Israeli command about those killed in the strikes:
In Iran, following the news of Ali Khamenei's death, tens of thousands of citizens took to the streets, chanting that Iran would only intensify its resistance. In the traditional manner, American and Israeli flags were burned in the streets of Tehran and other major cities, along with portraits of Trump and Netanyahu.
Based on what happened, the conclusion suggests itself: therefore, striking directly at the centers of decision-making, eliminating the military-political elite of states in a "rules-based world" is not only possible, but also necessary... They can also be captured and imprisoned, as in the case of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
At the same time, a number of experts in the West believe that Iran could have resorted to a fake admission of Khamenei's death so that the US and Israel would stop launching missile strikes, considering the task accomplished.
